    USB port for audio output


    Is it possible to use the USB ports for audio output? I have an Bose Companion 3 which is designed for PCs. It primary audio input is through a USB connector. It also has a 3.5mm aux input through it's controller but I want to use the USB input. My main
    objective is to find a workaround to avoid using the aux input with the Xbox controller.

    Stereo sound for Xbox One

    There are a few options to get audio output to RCA (red & white) speakers with the Xbox One.

    - If your HDTV has an audio output port for external speakers, usually in the form of a 3.5mm jack or separate RCA outputs, you can configure your TV to disable the built-in speakers and output all audio to what's connected to that output.

    - Xbox One has an optical port for digital audio output. Personally, that's how I get my audio going to my soundbar. If your speaker system has an optical port, you might be in luck.

    - There are various, specialized adapters you can get online, like HDMI-in to HDMI-out (video) + RCA (audio).

    No headphone jack on my tv for turtle beach x12

    Currently, the only way to connect your x12's to your tv is to either have the 3.5mm jack audio output or the red and white audio output jacks that can be connected to using the converter cable provided with your x12's. You must also have a usb port avaiable
    on your tv for the x12's to recive power, you may also use the ports on the xbox itself if the cord will reach.

    USB ports    . I think there are a few exceptions with some gaming headsets, but they have to state that they were specifically made for Xbox One.

    As your Bose Companion 3 connects with 3.5mm for audio, you should be able to connect it to your TV's 3.5mm output. Go to your TV's settings to configure it to use external speakers, and it should output all sound through your speakers.

    If your TV doesn't have a 3.5mm input, then it should alternatively have RCA (red/white). You can convert with an

    adapter    .

    Thank you for the help. I've tried the RCA option, didn't work for me. It's a problem with lower end LG TVs, from what I got to know on the internet. Perhaps an ADC will solve that.

    USB microphone not working on Xbox one

    I have a USB adopter for my headphones.

    I used this USB adopter connected to my headphones plugged into my USB port on my Xbox One X.

    The USB port does not recognize my device. Another account has replied to your question with this information.

    Their is an audio port on the Xbox controllers, this port is designed for input / output audio.

    I use a microphone plugged into my headphones, sometimes.

    I tried the USB port, no Audio category was displayed on my Dashboard UI on the Profile & system section.

    I have heard and agree that USB transfers audio, as a higher quality compared to the microphone / headphones cable-prong.

    Afterglow Headsets.

    Some of the newer televisions are not equipped with an Audio Output port. (There's a digital port where it can jack into a receiver, you can plug headphones into that.) But, there is a headphones port. and I have two USB's. The Afterglow will plug in through
    that. Otherwise, the new Turtle Beach headsets might work.
