    USB mic not working when streaming Xbox to window 10 laptop


    I’m trying to use my Turtle Beach usb mic on my win 10 laptop to use as mic when I stream my Xbox to my win 10 laptop. The mic is working and when I start a party normally on the windows 10 Xbox app, it works and responds and I can see the blue light around
    my profile pic light up. But then I end that party, I start streaming the Xbox to my laptop. It says I have a head set/mic connected. I go to start a party and check my usb mic but nothing. I check the computer and it’s working and recording and playback is
    usb mic default. I made sure the xbox app can use my mic in privacy settings too. So I’m guessing it has something to do with the app itself becasue the mic works fine when I’m just using the app for a party. But when I start to stream xbox to the app on the
    laptop, and i start a party, it says i have a mic connected but no blue light up around my profie pic when i tap my mic. So why can’t I use my Usb mic on my windows 10 laptop to chat when streaming my Xbox to my windows 10 laptop?

    Hi,

    I think your laptop is connected on the wifi… and maybe your Xbox too.

    To get 100% working streamer use ONLY ethernet cable for both.

    If I were to live stream on twitch, how can I connect a microphone, so people that are watching can hear me?

    If you're streaming from an Xbox console, then your headset mic should work. If you are streaming from PC, any USB Mic should work.

    The Turtle Beach Stream Mic works with the Xbox One by USB.

    Other mics may work but most don't.
