    USB issue


    Hi guys,

    I use a usb flash drive on my 360 to save all my games progresses and to install games such as CoD and Gta V.

    When I first used the usb I only set 50% of the available memory on it (32gb in total) for xbox storage.

    When I came to install CoD A.W I had insufficient space on the usb. I therefore transferred all files from the usb on to my laptop and formatted the usb, resetting the available memory to 100% of it's capacity.

    However, when I came to put the files back onto the usb (the files are in partition form) and place it back into the 360. It would no longer recognise the usb and formatted it once again erasing my saved game info I had just put back on.

    I still have the original files on my laptop. Does anyone have any idea how I can get them back onto my usb or onto my internal xbox memory?

    USB JumpDrive issue

    I am able to use my Lexar USB JumpDrive (http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product...ive-ljdtt16gasbna-ljdtt16gasbna/10171542.aspx)
    until I reboot the Xbox, if it is plugged in while the Xbox is booting it shows that it needs to be formatted again. If I unplug the JumpDrive and plug it back in it works great. Anyone aware of any issues like this? It is plugged directly into the Xbox, no
    hubs, etc.

    Some brands, PNY seems to be another, do seem to do this.

    Of course the obvious thing to do is unplug it after turning the console off and only put it back in once the console has started up.

    Hopefully why this is happening will be discovered.

    My brother did something similar (transferring profile with USB) with the same results. As far as I know (I'm not an expert) it is gone. He lost his Farm Simulation 15. I think if the profile was not on X Box live on the 360, it cannot be transferred.
    Anyone else have suggestions?

    Move all the music from your USB onto your computer again (If you don't want to lose it)

    Then insert your USB into one of the front ports and go to Memory

    If your USB shows up select it and configure it , if you do automatic , it formats all of the data so it clears everything to set it up for xbox

    If you do it manually you can assign a certain amount of space to your USB for xbox and for pc

    Kingston USB's should work i have a 16Gb Kingston USB that i use for xbox sometimes and it works fine with me
