    Will microsoft ever release a firmware update to allow the use of usb headsets brands such as logitech, steelseries, or razer headsets that utilize usb chat and sound. This would allow users to jump from pc gaming directly to console gaming. I have been
    on the xbox since the modern warfare series came out, switching from the ps2 to the 360 was a change. I would not have gotten the xbox one I known about the use of third party usb headsets being compatible with the ps4. So bump this up to let microsoft hear
    what we want and not what they think we want. Let me know what you think.

    How to charge your Xbox Wireless Headset

    You should charge your wireless headset overnight before you start using it for the first time. You can charge your wireless headset using a USB charging cable or an AC power adapter.

    To charge with a USB charging cable, connect one end of the headset charging cable to your wireless headset and plug the other end into a USB port on your Xbox 360 console. You have to turn on your console to charge the headset.

    To charge with an AC power adapter, plug it into an electrical outlet and connect the other end to the wireless headset.

    Note: When you connect the AC power adapter with your headset, the connection (if any) between the headset and console will be interrupted.

    At the time of charging, the lights on your wireless headset flash one at a time, and then turn off. But when the headset is fully charged, all four lights blink together.

    The headset beeps when the battery is low.

    • If your headset beeps two times, it means that 30 minutes of battery life remains.
    • If it beeps three times, 5 minutes of battery life remains.

    At the moment there's no option to output audio to USB, only HDMI and optical cable.

    a lot of usb headsets state they are compatible but in fact not, only pc and ps4 support usb headsets.

    xbox one does not support usb headset, they do not support audio over usb at all.

    the only way is 3.5 mm or wireless headsets that use optical for the base station.

    all usb headsets that say they support xbox don't, they work on ps4 but xbox not a chance, i own several usb headset that state they work with xbox one.

    Usb headsets are supported as long as they have the proper compatibility. I use a RIG 800LX its usb and wireless. If the headset isnt a gaming headset it may not work correctly.

    there are limited headsets that will work via a specific dongle for usb on xbox, all other usb headsets are not supported in anyway as the xbox does not output audio via usb normally.

    The Xbox console does not support USB sound devices or USB headsets.

    Only headsets that plug into the Xbox controller are supported. Be that 3.5mm jack headsets (CTIA standard) or the chat headsets with a USB-similar-looking
    plug that goes into the wide connector of the controller.

    Also there are specifically licensed headsets that connect wirelessly directly to the console like the

    Plantronics RIG 800LX

    But the only
    headsets that have an USB connector use that connector to get USB power to their wireless transmitter    , but no actual sound is transmitted over that USB cable.
