    Hi, i just got a new headset to use to my xbox and for it to work properly I need to use a USB port. Is there anyway I can use my headset?

    How to charge your Xbox Wireless Headset

    You should charge your wireless headset overnight before you start using it for the first time. You can charge your wireless headset using a USB charging cable or an AC power adapter.

    To charge with a USB charging cable, connect one end of the headset charging cable to your wireless headset and plug the other end into a USB port on your Xbox 360 console. You have to turn on your console to charge the headset.

    To charge with an AC power adapter, plug it into an electrical outlet and connect the other end to the wireless headset.

    Note: When you connect the AC power adapter with your headset, the connection (if any) between the headset and console will be interrupted.

    At the time of charging, the lights on your wireless headset flash one at a time, and then turn off. But when the headset is fully charged, all four lights blink together.

    The headset beeps when the battery is low.

    • If your headset beeps two times, it means that 30 minutes of battery life remains.
    • If it beeps three times, 5 minutes of battery life remains.

    What headset is it? If it only connects via USB then maybe not, but there are some headsets that just use the USB connection for power. I have mine hooked up to optical audio and plugged into USB for power. If you let me know the specific headset make
    and model I can take a look and see if it's compatible.

    - So this means that SteelSeries didn't make their USB transmitter compatible with Xbox

    - Hmm...Astro, Plantronics, Razer and Turtlebeach are just some of the manufacturers who seem to have managed figure out how to make their USB wireless design and headsets functional with the Xbox One.

    The Xbox console does not support USB sound devices or USB headsets.

    Only headsets that plug into the Xbox controller are supported. Be that 3.5mm jack headsets (CTIA standard) or the chat headsets with a USB-similar-looking
    plug that goes into the wide connector of the controller.

    Also there are specifically licensed headsets that connect wirelessly directly to the console like the

    Plantronics RIG 800LX

    But the only
    headsets that have an USB connector use that connector to get USB power to their wireless transmitter    , but no actual sound is transmitted over that USB cable.

    Plug your controller, with headset attached, into the XB1 using a usb cable and then run the updates.

    Hopefully this will fix this issue as I have it too but this just occured to me when at work.
