    USB Headset, Can I get it working with Xbox One?


    Just got an Xbox One. Didn't realise my USB headset wouldn't work on it, complete and honest oversight by myself. I'm running my xbox through my pc monitor via HDMI. Sadly, I don't have speakers, just a USB headset I use with my computer, I was hoping I
    could just use that for my Xbox too. Is there any way I can?



    My monitor appears to have a singular headphone jack and the headset that I have is

    this one     , if that helps in any way.



    Apologies if this has been mentioned before, I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do, I've got no audio!

    Plantronics audio 995 wireless headset connection

    Anyone know how to get the XBox to channel audio to this wireless headset? Headset works fine with my PC and shows it is paired when the USB is connected to the XBox. Now audio though. Preferences set to audio in both headset and speakers and for headset
    only. Not working either way. Any help is appreciated.

    Headset not working

    Xbox one headset not working, i can hear but the microphone is not sending signal when fully connected to the controller. Only works when I have it half connected.

    I just power cycled the xbox, updated controller + headset, usb connection, doesn't work, kinect works fine.

    To use a headset and mic for the Xbox One you would need to buy some sort of adapter, and then plug it into the stereo headset adapter. Looking online I didn't see anything, so I don't know if that's even possible. If you just want to use sound, you would
    need to use some method that you plug that into your Monitor or TV for the sound output. I honestly haven't seen this, but again you would need some sort of adapter.

    Hi there,

    Yeah as a Razer Kraken USB owner I can confirm a USB version will not work. Only 3.5mm Jack headsets work on Xbox One. FYI I have even seen wireless headsets claiming to work on Xbox One don't believe those either, as they are still USB connectivity for
    the wireless dongle.

    xbox one does not support usb headset, they do not support audio over usb at all.

    the only way is 3.5 mm or wireless headsets that use optical for the base station.

    all usb headsets that say they support xbox don't, they work on ps4 but xbox not a chance, i own several usb headset that state they work with xbox one.

    Unfortunately, at this time, the Xbox One does NOT support ANY kind of USB headset.

    While there are wireless headsets that have a base station with USB port, these are only used to power the base station. Sound is always coming from the optical out or HDMI port of the Xbox One.

    So you need to get a CTIA compatible headset with a 3.5mm jack that you can plug into your Xbox One controller.

    That will then work on your Xbox One.

    USB headsets do not work with Xbox One. The only ones that will work are ones that use a 3.5mm jack with the controller or one of their (Xbox) certified headsets.
