USB gamepad not working

I have a USB gamepad which worked perfectly when I bought it. But now when I connect it to my PC it doesn't connect, no sound of any USB inserted, doesn't show up on device mangers, doesn't show up on devices and printers either. I have seek help from YouTube and other means but still the problem persists.

Hello,

one option is a wireless USB to PC adapter.

The second option I use. I have an Xbox ONE ELITE gamepad. I have a USB cable connected to the gamepad, I connect it to my laptop and the system will find the gamepad and without any problem my gamepad works.

There must be a problem on your side because I'm using an Xbox ONE Elite gamepad, with a USB cable. I have it connected to a PC and it works fine for me. I don't use the gamepad wirelessly on Xbox or PC. If you are using a USB adapter for your gamepad,
try plugging the adapter into another USB. Or check for updates.

I'm sorry to hear that you're not able to use this USB game pad at the moment. Unfortunately it seems that your gamepad is damaged but before concluding that please tell me if you tried connecting the gamepad on another PC

It's probably because your gamepad firmware is 5.11 or newer. Due to this, your Xbox gamepad is not recognized as Elite and so paddles are not working. This happens if you connect over bluetooth. Try using a cable and it should work.

Alternatively, you can downgrade firmware of your gamepad on Windows. Use Win+R to open command line and type

xboxaccessories:\\firmwareupdate?legacyDowngrade=true

make sure your gamepad is connected via USB.

Hi i doesn`t have a Xbox console. I have an issue with my xbox one gamepad and Samsung TV model UE50MU6100UXRU.

After gamepad firmware update 4.8.1923, my TV cant recognize my xbox one gamepad, before the update it worked fine.

I`m plugging gamepad directly to USB port of my TV to play games via steam app.

On PC my controller working perfectly.

Gamepad firware update i made with accesory Xbox app which i downloaded from microsoft store.

Can i downgrade firmware of my gamepad somehow?
