  1. USB Flash Drive not being Detected?

I'm trying to get my Xbox One to access a USB Flash Drive so that I can play background music. This should be simple, but the Xbox refuses to recognize it. It's formatted to NTFS, so why won't it recognize it?

    :)

USB Flash drive not being recognised

The xbox one does not recognize external storage at this time. You will need to put those profiles on the console. Go to My games andd apps, click settings and scroll over to family. From there you cam add the profiles by usimg there login information

The Xbox apps do not currently support playing music from a USB drive for background music. There are some 3rd party apps that have this ability like Simple Background Music Player.

  5. Yeah, that's what I'm trying to use. But in that App, and even the media player app the USB Flash Drive doesn't show up.

  6. Hey, RaccoonNinja28! Sorry to see you're having this issue. What type of USB drive are you using? It could be that the console simply isn't recognizing it because the speed isn't fast enough. I also suggest trying another one of the USB ports on the console,
too. Let me know what kind you're using or if another port works! USB Flash Drive not being Detected? :)

Troubleshoot using flash drive to transfer files

Not all flash drives are created equal, however...

If the drive isn't being detected properly, try powering off the new 360. Remove the USB drive. Power up the new 360, re-insert the USB drive. See if the drive is now properly detected. There's been some issues with USB drives not being detected properly
    during warm-boots of the console.

It appears a file has corrupted my Xbox One. Need Help!

I see. Make sure that only the offline update file is stored in the USB flash drive and that the USB flash drive is formatted to NTFS format. The console should detect it properly after doing that.
