usb ethernet port?

the ethernet on my port is bad because the xbox wont reconize the ethernet cable I know it works becase when I hook it up to the laptop it instantly connects to the internet so i was thinking of getting a usb ethernet port but before buying it I want to
know if the xbox one has a driver for it?

Xbox Streaming To Win10 problem.

It's not about your Internet speed because you are playing the game all on your internal network. You aren't actually downloading or uploading anything it's just travelling from your Xbox through your modem / gateway and to the device you are streaming on.

A wired connection makes a huge difference for it. My Xbox is wired into my network with CAT 5e Ethernet cable. For streaming I have an Ethernet cable that runs to an Ethernet to USB converter that I can plug into my laptop. If you don't have wired connections readily available then a power - line adaptor might be worth a try. That would let you send Ethernet through your home wiring. It's not as reliable as actual Ethernet cable but it's a good sub if your wiring isn't ancient.

Xbox Live Connection

My router has a USB connection rated at 12 MBPS. Can I use that to run Xbox Live through USB?

Or can I connect a Apple Air ethernet adapter where I convert the USB to ethernet?

 

Hey there! I'm afraid there isn't a USB Ethernet connector available for the Xbox One. However, it'd be a good idea to try a few other troubleshooting steps regarding the Ethernet port on your console, just in case!

1) The most important thing to try in any situation where things aren't working right would be to power cycle the console:

support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console

2) Next would be to unplug your router/gateway for at least thirty seconds.

3) If that doesn't help, we'd suggest trying a completely different Ethernet cable. Even if your current cable is recognized by the laptop, there could be some other weirdness going on there.

4) If that still doesn't work, please try plugging the Ethernet cable into a different port on your router/gateway.
