USB drive unresponsive.

I don't know if all downloaded games can cause this or only PVZ Garden Warfare. I have a Sandisk cruzer fit and it disappears from the system if I play garden warfare and end my session by powering down the system with the menu from the controller. I do
NOT have the issue if I exit the game and go back to the XBOX home console And then power off either with the button or via the menu.

Pi can reproduce this every time and nothing like this happens with just the internal hdd. It started with the flash drive.

Lis this a console OS bug or a game bug?

xbox dose not connect to hard drive anymore

i bought a toshiba usb 3.0 hard drive 7 months ago for my xbox and it worked fine but now my xbox wont find it in my storage options and if i have it plugged into my xbox will become unresponsive to connecting to controllers and wont connect to my wifi.
someone please help me

News on Update?? Xbox One will NOT read discs/open certain APPS

I am having the same issue as well. Did two USB resets this morning to fix the issue. Console will work for a few hours then start being unresponsive.

It might very well be an issue with the flash drive itself. Are you able to try a different flash drive or download the game onto your Xbox Hard Drive to see if the issue persists?

Does this happen with a controller connected with usb cable?

To test it...

Turn the console off. Connect the controller with usb to console and turn the console on.

If you still get unresponsive controller you may have to refresh the System OS keeping Games and apps.

The problem I was having wasn't it being unresponsive at the green screen. It would turn on and go to the dashboard and I could log in with the Smartglass app, but was unable to use the app or controller to navigate the dashboard.

I was able to solve my problem though by attempting the offline update. I had the external drive plugged into the USB port and held the BIND button on its own when it did the two beeps, restarted, and was fine.

This is what I did as I couldn't get back on here until today.

First I dumped the profile back onto the usb drive removed it from the console and then retrieved my profile via live back to the console.

This was a last ditch effort after everything else failed and it worked so I just deleted the broken file from the usb drive and the problem was fixed.

I believe my friends xbox failed in writing the new data to the drive while my profile was in use because I had earned some new achievements which were stored in a back up file on live thankfully and because the console in question couldn't fully write to
the drive it damaged it in some manner because now it's slow and sometimes unresponsive so I think will forgo using it and buy a new thumb drive in a month or so.
