Transfer files from pc to xbox

Well I tried using the flash drive. Below are the steps that I followed to transfer games through flash drive:

    1. Downloaded the iso file of the game from torrent site.
    2. Used ISO2GOD to transfer the game from computer hard drive to flash drive.
    3. Plugged the USB in Xbox.
    4. When I try to browse the USB, it doesn't show anything to browse USB, only two options are available on Xbox, 1. configure USB storage for Xbox 360, 2. Customize.

When flash drive didn't worked I tried the FTP. As per online forums I followed every single step very closely with firewall and internet security disabled but FTP Client fails to connect to Xbox IP.

Do I have to crack/hack/mod my Xbox in order to transfer games and play on it???

Thanks Microsoft for the Xbox one project Scorpio but looks like something new is missing!

Just one question Sensi, why are you concerned about the USB 3.0 transfer rate?

The maximum transfer rate of USB 3.0 is roughly 640MB per second, that's much faster than most external hard drives can handle, even when they are also USB 3.0.

So what would be the point of putting in USB 3.1 or even 3.2 when there isn't yet any external hard drives that can transfer at those speeds?

    Buying a 2nd x360 for the house

Answer to Question 1: Yes your achievments will be displayed / saved on your 2nd xbox hard drive, in addition to your other achievments you earned. You just need to re-download your profile on to the new 120gb memory drive.

Answer to Question 2: All of what you mentioned are ways you can transfer your data. You can either use a Xbox USB or Transfer cable to get the job done. If do not want to buy a Xbox USB you can use a standard PC USB, although you have to re-configure the
PC USB in order to transfer the data (I think you can do this process on any xbox because of the previous dashboard updates). Another way to transfer data would be to use Clould Storage.

Has anyone been using a seagate backup plus fast?

Thx but not what I asked and the seagate is 2 5900 drives stripped in raid 0 with a data transfer rate of 250mbps wich USB 3.0 can sustain but again my question was has anyone been using this drive.

120G HDD was fine, now won't recognize

The disc of the transfer kit isn't needed any longer as the transfer software is built into the 360's dashboard. Forgive the question but are you sure that the cable you were using is a genuine Microsoft one?

From what you've posted it sounds as if your 120gb hard drive has been reformatted as a USB drive, which is why it'll work when connected to the cable. Sorry to say but if it has been reformatted as a USB device then there is no way to return it to a normal
    360 hard drive.

Data transfer from old XB1 to a new XB1

You should be able to transfer games via a compatible USB drive.

Old Xbox One > USB drive. USB drive > New Xbox One
