Discus and support USB drive needs to reconfigure every time I turn it on and loses memory in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Ok so I'm playin Xbox one but I wanted to pull out ,y Xbox 360 and play some older games, and I really wanTed to do this challenge on forza horizon, so...     USB drive needs to reconfigure every time I turn it on and loses memory


    Ok so I'm playin Xbox one but I wanted to pull out ,y Xbox 360 and play some older games, and I really wanTed to do this challenge on forza horizon, so I go out and spends. 90 dollars on the parts I needed and the game itself. So I home set it all up and
    play for about 4 hours, I turn it off and eat dinner and go to sleep, I wake up to continue but the USB I was using as a heard drive didn't have any of the memory on it and all my data from profiles to games were deleted, or thEY just weren't recognized, need
    help ASAP

    Hi!

    If you are havving to reconfigure your flashdrive every time you turn on your Xbox. Then that flashdrive is incompatible.

    Perhaps you should take a look at

    USB memory stick lost files after turning off my system

    I just got a Lexar 8GB Twist Turn USB Flash Drive - Orange (LJDTT8GBASBNAV)

    I also have had a grey microcenter 1gb flash drive

    The Lexar loses everything after removed or if the xbox turns off and must be reconfigured every time, but the microcenter has no problem

    I need help! What should I do? I might get another flash drive instead. Any suggestions?

    Sorry to hear it. There's nothing you can do to recover the items. To prevent this from happening in the future format the usb on your pc before configuring it on the console.

    A few months ago I configured a USB and it worked. Now it has done something to deconfigure itself. It doesn't seem right that a USB that I have most of my games storage saved to is now incapable of saving anything. Now if I have to reconfigure it, I lose
    EVERYTHING on it.

    1) Is there a way to get my USB reconfigured without losing all data?

    2) Can someone explain to me how this might have happened?

    Has anyone found a solution to this? For some reason my usb drive keeps reconfiguring itself to its original pc only config. and it deletes all my game saves, which i only had on my usb (use hard drive for on demand games) this is the 3rd time this has happend
    and ive used 3 diff usb drives

    Fifa 13 wont play on my 360 but all other games play fine and fifa disc plays fine on other console

    Can youtryremoving any USB drives or memory drives and try turning off the console and then trying again with those vices not plugged in?
