    USB devices turning off

Simply put, when I play games, my mouse and keyboard will randomly turn off and back on. I've tried switching mice and it happens on the other one too. Just a few minutes ago, I was playing a game and it completely stopped working, so I had to reset my PC. I know it's not faulty USB ports because it worked right after restarting my pc.

    What do I do?

    Thanks

    :)

    USB devices turning off

Hi there Aqlinator welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Try reinstalling the USB Drivers

Disconnect all USB devices from the computer and proceed with the following steps.

Download the following registry file from here. Double-click and accept the UAC prompt and then apply it to your registry.

Press the Windows + R keys, type devmgmt.msc. This opens up the Device Management Console.

In the Device Manager, click on View > Show hidden devices. This will display all

the USB drivers installed on the system.

In the same Device Manager, expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers, right-click on the devices under this category and click Uninstall and then OK to remove the drivers.

Now uninstall all devices under Disk Drives that you know are not present, and Storage Volumes.

Restart the computer and your computer will try to install the drivers you deleted.

You can additionally launch Windows Updates (Start > type Windows Updates >

Press Enter) and run updates to install additional drivers.

Insert a USB at this point to confirm if it’s been solved. Move to the next methods if the issue still persists.

Note: Also visit your manufacturer’s website on how to update your devices BIOS.

xbox 360 won't trun off after 1hr of idle time

Just a quick question. Do you have any USB devices plugged into the Xbox. I only ask, as I had a third part USB device plugged into mine, and it would not turn off with it plugged in. It was a keyboard that I had plugged in that prevented it turning off.

Flash Drive always resets to factory settings help

    Hello,

    Try follow these steps:

    1. Restart the Xbox 360 console.
    2. Disconnect the device from the USB port, and then turn off the console. After 5 to 10 seconds, turn the console back on. After the console has restarted, reconnect the device to the USB port.
    3. Turn off the console, remove the power cord from the power outlet, reconnect the power cord, and then turn on the console again.
    4. Disconnect any unnecessary devices from the console.
    5. Determine whether the USB device requires a separate power supply. If it does, attach the power supply.
    6. Connect the USB device to a different USB port on the console and see whether the device works. If the device works in another USB port, the Xbox 360 console may require service.
Note If these steps didn't resolve the issue, the Xbox 360 console may require service. Start the repair process online.

External HD keeps turning on in standby mode

    the reson (problem) is,

the xbox dont turn of power from usb, thats for loading device over usb.

so, some usb drives can turn them off even if the usb port is on power, some not.

    most can`t

    so, its normal

Could you try download your profile with a USB memory stick configured for use with Xbox 360.

Turn off your console and remove your storage device (HDD). Plug in the USB memory stick and follow the instructions on screen. Download your profile to your USB memory stick. Turn off the Xbox and add your main storage device back. Now start your Xbox with
both storage devices attached. Move the profile from the USB to your main storage device (HDD).

Post back and let us know how it goes.
