  1. USB Corrupted?

So this Monday I was playing my Xbox 360 just fine and I have two flash drives, because I have games that take up a lot of space. Then two days later on Wednesday I started up my Xbox 360 and it froze! So I unplugged my usb's and it started up fine, but
when I plugged them back in it froze again. So I turned it off then back on again then waited for it to load up and when it loaded I plugged in my usb with all of my games with important data and it froze. At that time I was really confused so I turned off
my Xbox and unplugged that usb and plugged in my other one and my Xbox turned on fine. I tried the one usb that froze the Xbox in all ports, front and back, but it still froze and the other usb works fine. Is my usb corrupted? Please help!

    :)

  2. USB Problems

Aww.. now, I think I know what you said now. Maybe.

To get your PC out of a boot loop, remove the battery for like 10 seconds, and put the battery back in.

My buddy has his play games off of a thumbdrive on 360 (Minecraft), so it's do able. On the thumbdrive, make sure it doesn't have a locking mechanism that is used for Write Protection.

    USB Corrupted?

Most likely, your USB is reaching its end of life. USB sticks are generally a terrible idea for anything that's going to require a lot of read/writes. The cheaper the stick, the faster it dies.

You are better off using a USB hard drive. The 360 can now use drives up to 2TB.

Flash drives wear out over time and eventually break

  6. Is there any way I can recover what is on it? I have a lot of game data on it and if there is no way to recover it, that is fine, because I am probably going to switch to next gen soon.

If you plug it in and your console doesn't detect it, then no. Cease use until you have backup media for it. Then try to plug it in.

    Hello,

As stated your item is losing life and not performing as wanted. The best option is a 2TB external hard drive as this will be able to cover the 360 (2TB max) and the ONE (4TB can be used). Plus they go on special frequently. 1TB HDD will hold plenty of
360 games and getting cheaper by the day.

After you format the external HDD on the console plug it into the computer and plug the USB into the computer and transfer the files. You may have to check or re-confirm your digital rights (DRM) too.

    Hopefully this helps.

    Good luck & happy gaming.
