  1. USB configuration issues

To get straight to the point, my Xbox 360 has stopped configuring my USB, when opened in the storage option on my console it still has the folders available to me, but I'm able to still use it on my PC, which I know shouldn't be possible. Also, even though
I'm able to save and load from it on my 360 it doesn't register as a 360 storage device which is annoying me further. The USB in question does work, I have used it over the last three years, keeping saves on it for whichever game I'm playing at the time, occasionally
it would have me reconfigure it and I have. But now when I had to the configure option isn't even there. it does say I can format it but that isn't what I want or need. I have attempted it with 7 other USB of different sizes and still no option to configure
for any of them. I have even reformatted to FAT32 on some of them to try that out and nothing. Any help is appreciated.

    :)

  2. I Have to Re-Download Everything

The USB flash drive is no good. You'll have to buy another. This is the only fix for a USB that won't hold a configuration.

    Usb Not Working Probably

My Xbox automatically shows any USB as a memory unit without any configuration done to it, when I put it in my computer it shows "Content" and "name" on the usb.

    USB configuration issues

USB drives no longer need to be 'configured' Microsoft ditched their annoying an inefficient format in favour of just using FAT32 and dynamic file creation so you can use your drive for other things. There is no more configure option on the dashboard as
part of the new update. To use your storage, you'll have to format it on the Xbox 360.

tl;dr, the USB format has changed and you need to format your drive on the Xbox to use it.

    usb configure

Yes, just delete the Xbox folder withing the USB, it may be hidden though.

    usb configure

Plug the USB Drive into your computer, go to My Computer, or Computer in the start menu (depending on what Operating system you use)

Right click on your USB Drive that you have configured for use with your xbox, and click Format.

That's all you need to do. :)

    USB Not Configuring Correctly

Since the last dasboard update USB drives no longer have to be customised for 360 use.

The files are stored in the content folder which is usually hidden.

As long as both console have latest update no customising will be necessary

    USB Flash drive Un-configurable/not configuring

    Hey TOG LaceUp,

    -

Can you try to format your USB on your PC/notebook and then try again:

    1. Insert drive into on of your USB ports on your computer.

    2. Open Windows Explorer, go to Computer and locate your USB on the left pane.

    3. Now right click your USB and click Format. Confirm the dialog box.

Note: if you have stored important data on your USB, please copy it from your USB to your PC Hard Drive before you format your USB.

    4. Insert your usb in one of your USB ports and try to
    configure it again
    .

Please let us know the result.
