  1. USB chat output for wireless chat

Hi this may of been asked before, but with all the new upgrades to the xbox one lately,Is there any chance of a driver or app or something that will allow the chat to be output through the usb to allow steelseries users or astro users to chat wireless like
the turtlebeach users get to? I recently bought the astro a50s and the game audio is amazing compared to the turtlebeach but would love it to be fully wireless too.

    :)

How to output in-game voice chat on both speaker and headset?

Diagrams are not easy to come by! :p

I did purchase the Elgato Chat Link cable, but then right afterward I bucked up and bought an Astro A40 TR with Mixamp Pro TR package so I returned the chat link and never tried it.

With the Astro set, if USB-only is used, then the Dolby Atmos app is required on the console and EQ processing is done on the console rather than by the Mixamp (so then the EQ button and settings on the Mixamp are bypassed/not operable) and all audio goes from the console to the Mixamp over USB and then all (game audio plus game chat plus party chat) audio is output from the Stream-out port, which then goes to line-in on an Elgato capture device or line-In on your computer.

Alternatively, in order to be able to use the Mixamp EQ settings in Astro Command Center and the EQ button that's between the two knobs, the optical input on the Mixamp *must* be used, which then requires use of a HDMI audio extractor to create the optical output from the console. In this config, headset mic input to console and party-chat output comes over the USB cable from the console.

In this latter config, I am still not certain as to where in-game multiplayer chat goes, but I believe it is most often mixed with the game audio output over HDMI to speakers (rather than able to be sent over the USB like party chat). Problem with game chat is that it's handled by game developers and therefore there is no Xbox setting like there is for party chat (where you can select it to be sent to one of three options: speakers, headset, or speakers & headset).

Hope this information is helpful to someone!

    Wireless Headset & ONE compatible?

Even the wireless headsets that have come out are not truly wireless. They require a cable going from the headset to the controller. Sony fans are scratching their heads at this. It's clearly not wireless if we need a cable to make chat work.

Xbox: Make a product like Sony Pulse wireless headphones that used only a USB. period.

If you can't do it, let someone else do it, but at least add support for a usb chat. Good grief.

Can you use the Xbox one wireless headset chat mixer on PC if you have the usb wireless adapter?

Yes, you can use the Xbox One wireless headset chat mixer on PC if you have the USB wireless adapter.

To do this, you will need to follow these steps:

    1. Connect the USB wireless adapter to your PC.
    2. Turn on your Xbox One wireless headset and hold down the power button on the headset until it starts flashing. This puts the headset in pairing mode.
    3. Press the pairing button on the USB wireless adapter until the LED starts flashing.
    4. Once the LED on the USB wireless adapter stops flashing and stays lit, the headset is paired with your PC.
    5. Open the Xbox Accessories app on your PC, and click on the "Xbox One Wireless Controller" device.
    6. From there, you can adjust the chat mixer settings to your liking.
Once you have completed these steps, you should be able to use the chat mixer on your Xbox One wireless headset with your PC.

Can you use the Xbox one wireless headset chat mixer on PC if you have the usb wireless adapter?

    I have the same issue/question.

I am using a Microsoft Windows 10 wireless adapter (the smaller slim one) and have my Microsoft Xbox Wireless Headset connected to it, but have no clue how to mix game audio and chat devices.

My OS is Windows 10 Home

In the past with similar devices, the headphones show up as 2 separate output devices in Windows. One set as "default" device and one as "default communications" device. (Astro Mixamp Pro TR for example)

I have tried the steps listed above but "Open the Xbox Accessories app on your PC, and click on the "Xbox One Wireless Controller" device. From there, you can adjust the chat mixer settings to your liking." makes no sense, there are no chat mix options. The ability to chat mix should be the dial on the left side of the headphones.

Please explain how to use chat mix on PC (mixing volume levels of main output and chat output). Otherwise i will be returning this headset. The whole reason i got it is because it was advertised to have that feature (which is now starting to sound like its an Xbox One/Series exclusive feature)

Am I using the headset adapter wrong?

Just a question regarding the chat feature. Will we One owners need to always use this chat adapter.? I also have the SteelSeries H Wireless headset and am wondering if Microsoft will enable chat via the USB ports on the console so we don't have to use this
(foolish) chat adapter. Thanks, and Please advise.
