Usb Cable for Xbox One Controller

Was wondering what is the best 10 feet cable for the Xbox one controller? Any suggestions will be appreciated thanks..Looking to use one for when really playing hard in the game then i will get zero latency. Thanks

Q's about Xbox controller / batteries and recharging

If we place other brand AA rechargeable batteries (NiMh) in the xbox one controller (regular or elite) and if we connect the USB cable to the controller Will it recharge the batteries?

If there is no batteries in the controller and you connect controllers/usb cable to the Xbox or any other power source will the controller work as if it's a wired controller?

I was thinking of buying a USB cable for my Xbox One controller because it randomly gets disconnected sometimes when it is wireless

..........

For those of you that use always use their Xbox One controller with a USB cable, I hope that you don't mind If I ask you some questions

..........

(1) Does the Wireless Xbox One controller still need batteries if I use a USB cable for it?

(2) Does it still get disconnected even with a USB cable connection?

(3) Is there a difference in controller response time with a USB cable connection?

(4) I'm not that knowledgeable about computer stuff Do I need to buy a USB 3 cable for the Xbox One controller for it to work properly or is a USB 2 fine?

Um what games do you need a wired connection for? Also I wonder if the polling rate is any different if you have the controller plugged in or not. Anyways check out Monoprice.com or Amazon basics. Pretty much any ten foot USB to Micro USB cable will do.

The controller has a detachable usb cable.

I tried the same usb cable with another Xbox One controller and i still got disconnected with movement of the cable. I wanted to test the Enhanced Wired Controller with another usb cable but i dont have any others that fit as the controller has a slightly
different port for the cable.

Mine hasn't worked for months and i get the same error message. (USB Device Not Recognized)

I'm connecting directly to USB using a usb cable.

Ive tried six different USB cables so its not a bad cable.

It used to work but now I have a useless xbox one controller since I don't even own an xbox one!

Note: This is the windows version of the xbox controller that comes with a usb cable. (same controller as console though)

Using a USB cable to connect-

Connect your controller using a micro-USB cable (included with all standard Xbox One wireless controllers and the Xbox One Play & Charge Kit). Standard alkaline batteries won’t be used to power the controller functions while you’re using your controller
as a wired controller.

If you’re using an Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 or Xbox Adaptive Controller, connect your controller using a USB-C cable (included with both controllers).

Depending on the type of controller you have, plug the micro-USB or USB-C cable into the power port on the back of the controller then plug the other end of the cable into your Xbox One. More details can be found

You should be able to do it following these steps:

Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with the Xbox One Wireless controller. Using a USB is a great idea. With a USB cable attached, your wireless controller converts to a wired controller.
