USB audio on Xbox Series X/S

Does anyone know if Microsoft is working on the USB audio connections to headsets with the new consoles? I have The A50s with latest firmware to work via USB but the audio just isn't on the same level as optical. Not only that, I'll get popping in the left ear with certain actions in games and I'll also have random distortion that comes and goes. I've searched the internet and it seems like everyone is having these issues using USB for their headsets no matter the headset. I'd just connect my headset straight to my tv via optical cable but you still need to plug your headset receiver into the Xbox for it to be powered and mainly to be able to chat! I really hope they can improve the audio. I miss optical so much. I never had issues before on my Xbox One X.

    :)

Will XBox Series X support external DAC/Amp hardware via USB?

There are multiple articles stating audio compatibility via USB. If optical is necessary, there are various HDMI to optical devices available which you may need to add.

"Some gaming headsets that utilize an optical cable may require a firmware update to support game and chat audio over USB on Xbox Series X. Soundbars and headsets that do not receive updates may be connected
directly to your televisions optical port."

Can you use external hard drives on xbox series s

    Hi,

Series X|S optimised games can only run on either the internal storage or expansion card. You can 'store' Series X|S on a USB hard drive/SSD for later but you can't play them from these drives as they're not fast enough.

Xbox One games that are not optimised for Series X|S can be run from USB Storage.

Why can I not install game pass games on the USB external hard drive?

Series S/X games cannot be played from a hard drive connected via USB. Series S/X games can only be played from the internal drive or the official expansion cards that attach directly in the back of the console. Again, no USB connected drives can play Series S/X games.

Xbox Series X - I can no longer turn off hdmi audio since installing the september update

I have almost the same problem except the error message says

“if you’re using Xbox series X/S, note that HDMI audio can’t be turned off. In other consoles, either optical or HDMI audio must be on. (0x80bd0009)

Why can’t I turn off hdmi audio on Xbox series x it makes no sense?

    KINNECT

the xbox one s and the xbox one x need an adapter to make it usb and that also comes with its own power supply.

the xbox series s and x don't support kinect.
