    I am on Toshiba external and haven't had issues. The game does have some dips in frame rate so that could be what is causing you issues. If all other games ran fine then I'd say it isn't your drive.

    I have a external HDD too and on a lot of single player games dialog will stuttter or ill get a half second lag randomly

    I spent most of last night doing one quest and it was awesome, had trouble with the last enemy, then changed my potion to Swallow and all was well. Best game ever!!
