Usability on Xbox One is cumbersome and a bit ridiculous...

I was excited about the Xbox One for many reasons. Kinect was something I had heard many good things about and getting the One was going to launch me into some new tech. I figured everything else was going to become easier to use as well! Better EVERYTHING!!!
For $500 it better be... but it isn't!

Here is a general list of issues I (and many of the people I play with) are extremely confused and somewhat pissed about.

1) First and foremost the "Party" arrangement is confusing as heck. If I want to build a team on say, "Call of Duty", I send and "Invite to Party" which doesn't put them in my actual game. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. What ever happened to hitting
invite to game and they were invited to the game? What is with the changing of the terminology anyway?

2) Then there is "Party Chat"... so I invite them to my "Party" then I can start the "Party Chat" but only if the member of said party turns on the "Party Chat". Ok, I'll admit, I might be a tad whinny with that one. The format of being able to turn it on
and off may be great as we learn to do it but ONLY IF IT WORKS EVERY TIME.

3) I have 12 MG Up and 5 Down on speed. Why is it that every time I want to pull up my friends list real quick to send a message it takes a solid 5-10 second for the screen to pop up? Is Live really that backed up?

4) What happened to sending a voice message??????????? I don't have time to type long messages when I'm playing.

5) Why can't I get the Chat to go through the headphones as well as the speakers? That was something I really like especially if I was stuck using my stock headset.

6) How can a Top of the line 7.1 dolby headset, that works like a dream with the 360, suddenly NOT work with a more advanced system? I have the Tritton Warheads and I have been extremely happy with the sound and quality. Is there some technology in the 360
that isn't in the One? Again, I know, 3rd party accessories are not Microsoft's concern but not having compatibility from an old system to a new one, in a market as large as those accessories, is really just a way to *** of loyal users.

I may be alone here, but does anyone else see usability issues that I forgot to mention?

This is getting a bit ridiculous....

I'd definitely give it no higher than a 7/10. Graphics in game seem off. Gamplay has strayed too far from what I typically like about the franchise. Too much run and gun now. Cut scenes look great. Voice acting is pretty good. Not a big Merc fan. Will
gladly ship the game to the first person who asks.

i agree with the whole "shouldn't be based on ones expectations".

at first i was slightly disappointed with the game but i think it was because i was expecting way more than what they probably could have done. i hadn't even finished the first chapter of leons campaign before coming to that conclusion though. after playing
a bit more the game is growing on me and its definitely not a 4.5/10. though it is not much from re4/re5 but those were 9-10/10 games so this rates right up there with them imo. and i've barely scratched the surface with this game so i'm sure it will only
get better.

Definitely not everyone. I would guesstimate only a small minority "hate" it. People who dislike a product tend to be more vocal about it. Not to mention a handful of these people are silver accounts with 0 gamerscore who obviously just created the account
to spew misinformation.

 

So, if you want to play a game it dosen't work????? The Vocal minority is an issue with everything.... As for party chat--use skype When did Gamerscore become the gage of knowledege?????
