USA Xbox will it work in uk

I'm currently in the USA on holiday and I'm thinking about buying a Xbox one does anyone know if it will work when I get back to the uk

How to change use account to uk

I have an USA Xbox account and I attempted to put 4200ms UK on it. It did not redeem as I relalized th UK Microsoft points do not wok on a USA account. How would I change my USA account to UK so the points will work

Moving Region

Hello.

Does anyone know the answer to the following:

If i take my USA xbox with a USA gamertag to the UK, will the apps still work like Hulu etc ?

And Visa Versa, can i take my UK xbox to the USA and use my UK apps in the USA with my UK gamertag ?

I know that games/dvd's are region locked, ( or region free in some cases etc... ), but how do the apps work?

The Xbox One S has a internal 'Multi-voltage power supply. So yes, if you buy from the U.S and bring it to the UK it will work just fine. You will need either a UK power cord or a US to UK plug adaptor to connect it to the mains here though - which is
a just a minor quibble. All games on the console are region free. You could buy the older model Xbox One, but, that one would require a UK power brick to function in the UK, so if you must buy one there, buy the newer S version.

Hello again, nothing it clearly states about region locks before purchase. Person needs to live where you are I.E: USA to USA or UK to UK....not UK to USA wont work, it will be region locked. Sorry.

Since GT regions can not be changed you would need to start a new account if you wanted to use the USA market place.

You will still be able to use your UK GT on a USA console and play the games, but would still only have access to the UK store.

Also some DLC is so region locked that is you have to match all Regions for it to work.

Say COD:BO if you had a UK account and a USA game and a UK xbox - you could not get some map packs to work.

Short answer, Use your UK account till it is expired, then start a USA account.

Long answer, Start a USA account just to download DLC and keep using your UK items. (Until a game is released that is region locked and you need a USA console to play)
