USA -> Germany, Power Brick

Hi all,

I moved from the NYC, NY to Berlin, Germany a few weeks ago and am looking for the correct power block so I can hook up my Xbox One. I've gone to a few stores in Germany and they carry the console and a few games, but no power unit for the German specifications.
I've looked online and can't find anything for Germany either. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go?

I've tried to chat with the Xbox support team, but the chat mysteriously stops right when they go to look for an answer.

I feel like I can't be the only person to move countries with an Xbox One, this shouldn't be so a large issue? Thoughts?

Playing a USA Xbox one in Germany....

Hey guys....I have a couple of questions.... I look forward to any help I can get. I split time working in the USA and Germany. I am heading back to Germany for work and I am taking my Xbox one with me. It is the USA edition. My question is regarding the
power brick. Is it correct is that all I have to do is get a European 220v power supply? Then I can just plug that in and I'm good? I don't need in special power transformer or anything correct? Any help would be great. Bryce

The UK console power brick isn't rated for operation in Japan. The USA brick should function as it's spec'ed to work with both of Japan's power standards (100v, 50hz or 60hz).

You're correct in that you cannot buy official power supplies from retailers. These can only be purchased via
device support or
contacting Xbox directly.

 

Have a look on your Xbox One power brick. If it says 120v-240v then you just need a US to EU travel adapter.

If it only says 120v then you would need a power transformer.

Both options are easier to get than a new Xbox One power setup.

using a power transformer officially is Not supported which is why the best thing to do is to get a official power supply for the Germany region.

 

Power adapters/voltage converters etc. should never be used on your console as they can cause no end of problems & would void any warranty you have.

The German Microsoft store should have the correct power bricks or,as mentioned by Hydro, contact support in Germany & they should be able to point you in the right direction.
