US XBox One X in UK Voltage concerns

I have just been given a US XBOX One X. Can you just use a plug converter or will this blow up the console?

Hi, the Xbox One X and the Xbox One S support multiple voltages, so yes it should work in the UK with a UK plug/power lead.

 

XBOX ONE S - Power Adapter Related Doubt

The XBOX ONE or even the 360 had an external brick.

So, If the man was to get the console in US, to make it run in the UK, man had to purchase the external brick from UK. To rectify the Voltage related problems.

However, the ONE-S does not come with an external brick. Just a connector wire.

So, how does the man solve the problem regarding the Voltage diff between US and UK?

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. That is a great question. We do not recommend using the Xbox One X in a different region or use a converter. The Xbox power supply that is built into the console contains a fuse to help protect your console
from power surges and excessive voltage. Altering the voltage can result in damaging the fuse which cannot be replaced. The article entitled

Please don't be confused with the earlier reply. The One X and the One S are both multi-voltage. This means that a U.S console will work in the United Kingdom and Europe without issues. You'll only need an adapter for the plug.

The link in the previous post only applies to the original Xbox which needs the correct PSU for the region it is going to used in.

 

Correct Obsessive Power, the S and X have a multi voltage PSU you just need a UK power cable. The orginal Xbox One wouldn't work.

Power supply and cord

Xbox One S and original Xbox One come with an external fan-assisted power supply that measures 6.69 x 1.88 x 2.96 inches (about 17 x 4.8 x 7.5 cm). The size is the same in the 100-110V, 220-240V,
and 100-240V versions.

Both the Xbox One S and Xbox one X have multi voltage Internal PSUs only the Original Xbox one has an external PSU.

We were able to confirm that the article we provided is not up to date. This is something we will remedy in the future. We also found out that the Xbox One X is officially able to be utilized in a different country by using a travel adapter.

 

The S also is multi voltage.
