US Xbox One in UK. Power cord.

I've received an Xbox One from the US as a Christmas present. I live in the UK and when I tried to plug it in via an adapter to the mains, it blew the electricity and I had to restart everything at the mains inside my garage. Can I change the power chord
to a UK one to make it work successfully? I don't want to try connecting it again through the adapter in case is destroys the motherboard.

Hi all, I understand the xbox one and it's games are not region locked. So would there be a problem in buying an xbox in the US (a friend flys there regularly) other than the power cord being of the US variety. Does anyone know if it's easily swapped for a uk one - is it a standard power supply?

Thoughts?

 

USA Xbox One in UK?

I moved to London. I had my power box cord burn out. The Xbox One is fine. Can I get a uk power box for the xbox one with higher voltage work with my USA Xbox One?

The US uses 120 Volt power and the UK I believe 220 or higher. Im not sure if a UK power supply will work or not but I know they make Volt converters that will solve your issue. You need one that can convert form 220 to 120.

Sorry but that is incorrect,you should never use any kind of voltage converter with your console as they can cause no end of problems & void the warrenty.

you need a U.K. power brick,all consoles are the same,it's just the power bricks that are different so your xbox one will work fine with a U.K. power brick
