US XBox One in Singapore

In a few weeks I'll be moving to Singapore. Assuming I take care of the power conversion, have an internet connection, and have a TV that can play NTSC can I play my US XB1 in Singapore?

Change Xbox One purchased in US to location to Singapore

Hi,

I cannot find Singapore under Location in the System setting. This could be due to Xbox One will only be launch in Singapore next month.

I would like to confirm whether I could change the Location to Singapore for the Xbox One purchased in US.

Xbox One US set update to SG set?

Hi,

Can I update my Xbox One bought from US to the Xbox One Singapore set through software. I cannot use many features of the US set like video, music, apps in Singapore.

Thanks for any advise.

Alternatively, can I trade in my US set for an SG set with Microsoft?

Hi there,

You should have no problems playing the actual Xbox the only problem that I see coming from this is when you try and access regionally locked content, i.e. games bought on the Singapore economy, or utilizing regional Apps such as Netflix.

A question related to the XBOX 360s. I got one here in Singapore.

My Billing address is USA.

I have a 12 months XBOX live Gold Subscription card, from Singapore.

Will it work?

I am in Singapore right now and the XBOX's locale is Singapore.

In Short:

XBOX live account: USA

XBOX live Card: Singapore.

XBOX Console locale: Singapore.

The games sold in Singapore are NTSC-J, and the power outlets are different than the ones in the US. So don't plan on buying games there unless you buy a console as well. If you take your own games, then all you will need is a power convertor.

You'll need a new power brick as the AC power standard in Singapore is 230v, 50hz. Call your local XBOX support number to order one.

360 game region encoding is not mandatory. There's an unofficial list of games and which regions they work with

here.
