    I have an Xbox one manufactered in 2014 located in a well-ventilated area. I have a wired connection with my Orbi tri-band router using a new Cat8 ethernet cable. My internet is fast as reported by the Apple application Speedtest as well the Google equivalent.
    Dowload speed: 70.8 mbps; upload speed: 114 mbps; ping: 8 ms; latency: 4.6ms; 0% loss. However as reported by the in situ Xbox application “test network speed & statistics,” a wide range of different stastics is reported that in some cases resembles the actual
    network but mostly does not. For example, one detailed network stastics result was as such. Dowload speed: 91.42 mbps; upload speed 49.76 mbps; packet loss: 17%; latenct: 46ms. More often, when playing games such as Modern Warfare 3 (2019) or even non-multiplayer
    games such as Subnautica, I frequently experience consistant and non-stop patterns of latency spikes that happen every second reaching a maximum of over 1000 ms—often times it is so high that is reported as N/A with Modern Warfare’s ingame network staistics—and
    less often packet loss. This is highly unusual and it is now impossible to play games on xbox. Given that the connection of my xbox is stably wired to a fast internet provider, my xbox should perform similarly fast, yet it does not. I desperately need help.

    fix the servers!!

    my latency is - ping 64 and jitter 0-1. I should not experience lag at all.. it really doesn't matter if you had a hundred meg,,,, it all depends on your latency

    cloud gaming on my android device is unplayable even though speed tests are showing I have a good connection. Any ideas?

    its not about your download rate, it is about latency and the ping rate, you can have a 1Gbps connection but if the latency is to high then it will ruin your experience, it could be the route the isp is sending your net traffic to and from the xbox servers which could be causing this issue too.

    Does internet speed affect how you play?

    Download and Upload speed do less than you think. You barley require a decent up/down to play. The biggest components are PING and Packet Loss. Packet Loss causes rubberbanding in games and PING is the latency of your connection to theirs. High PING means
    a High Packet Loss (or Jitter leads to Packet Loss too) and what is known as Lag. I have a 20Mb/s download and as long as you and me have the same PING, your 1.6Mb/s download is no different for gaming.

    Thanks for the extra information. It sounds like you currently have your Xbox 360 wired to the TPLink extender, which is receiving a signal from your Sagemcom, is that correct? (Also, what is the exact model of your Sagemcom?)

    Are you able to try connecting your Xbox 360 directly into your Sagemcom to see if you continue to experience the issue? You are currently experiencing a pretty high latency which could be causing the random disconnects. By connecting your Xbox 360 directly
    into your network, you may experience a drop in latency which would improve the Xbox Live experience for you.
