    Oh dear , need to get it fixed before family get home or no tv for them ! Or I'll have to start recabling :-(

    I got mine going after several restarts, Kraigsta, and someone else said the same thing on another thread.

    Trying a series of hard resets here. No luck yet. Heard some others got it to work, but try it at your own risk....

    My Xbox has now been on for several hours. It sounds like Oldun got a good outcome, but I'm concerned about turning off my system.

    Oldun - Sorry, but can you walk us through exactly what you did after it got stuck? Did you press the power button? Hold it down? Unplug it at all? Sorry to bother, but I just want to make sure.

    Had my console stuck at the "preparing installation" too. Lucky enough to get it started after only 2 hard resets, and it just started with the New Xbox One Experience preview.

    Well I didn't want the NXOE preview, I chose to stay to the existing preview program, so why the hell did the NXOE install on my console? So now I'll have to deal with various bugs and crashes, or else erase all my data to get to the previous preview program
    back. Thanks Microsoft, for messing it so bad...

    I unplugged mine after 2hours hours... green loading screen for 20 mins... unplugged... now has update... :/ just about to boot up a game

    I had this and thought my xbox froze so I turned it off and now it's stuck on the green loading screen and will not load at all.

    Same thing here. Stuck on the green launch screen. Have restarted 12+ times. Hard reboots, unplugged my external HDD, unplugged the system from the wall, still stuck. I suppose we can be greatful for cloud saves, as it's looking like factory resets will
    be in order.

    I kept unplugging it at the back if it didn't get past the green screen within 5 mins. Eventually it booted up normally with the update in place.
