    *URGENT!* System Update Stuck/Frozen!


    Hey, all,

    My console was performing the new system update, and it got stuck at the "Preparing console... Don't turn off or unplug your console" screen. I don't want to turn it off or try to restart it or anything, lest it end up as a paperweight. Help?!

    Stuck in green loading screen after April update

    It froze during the update so I restarted the Xbox and now it's stuck

    Stuck on green start up screen after frozen update

    An update froze on me whilst applying. I left it 8ish hours and was still frozen. Turned off console and am now stuck on green start up screen. Help.

    I have the same problem too. Now constantly restarting in the hope of getting it started *URGENT!* System Update Stuck/Frozen! :(

    Oldun Kast - What happens when you restart your console? Does it re-attempt the update? Is it responsive? Does it show anything on the screen?

    It just sits on the green loading screen with the xbox icon and three white dots and seems unable to proceed.

    Yes, took several hard restarts but it finally got there. Seems stable so far.
