Urgent Assistance Needed

Urgent situation. Within the last 5 hours my household was robbed. We are currently out of town and were just notified by sheriffs on the break in. An Xbox One was stolen. If possible we need to see/track the console. Sheriffs asked for details on
the console. Is this possible to get an ID for it and watch activity on the console?

I have logged into my Xbox and it has asked me each time to add securty... I followed the process and now it is saying "This email or password isn't valid". Now I've tried resetting and have tried multiple times logging in with a new password, still nothing...

I also deleted my profile and cleared the cache but it still hasn't let me log in.

There could be many variables... I just updated from Hotmail to Outlook and it could just be coincidence my Xbox isn't letting me log in...

Or my information could be hacked which is just a normal reaction I have because I can't seem to log in at all.

This is a tad frustrating and I was wondering if someone can resolve this matter or assist me.

Note: I can log in my account through Xbox.com and Windows Live ID. I just can't through the start up with Xbox...

This should work for you!!



1. Check Sign in to your Microsoft account to see if at least two security proofs are setup and verified

2. Delete your profile from the console, be sure to select Delete profile only, to do so check this link:

3. Clear the console cache, see this link for the how to:

4. Turn the console off.

5. Turn the console on.

6. Clear the console cache one more time like in step 3

7. Redownload your profile.(See the same link as 2.) you might have enter the security verification afterwards and all should be fine again.

Sorry to hear it. You can get the serial number of the console (so long as you registered it) from the Repair page.

If the console's use needs to be tracked then the Sheriff's dept. will need to subpoena Microsoft to get the info. It will not be released to anyone other than law enforcement.

Finally, I can guarantee this will work but click the link and follow the instructions to remotely require a password. It works for the 360 but I'm not sure it will work for the Xbox One but it's worth a try.

I would definitely recommend changing your email and password for the account though and contact any credit card company/paypay account that you may have attached to the gamertag to let them know what's happened.
