Upset over $400 XBox-One vs. $500 Xbox-One with Kinect

Why force a piece of hardware onto people that do not want it?

There should be 2 options: Xbox One without Kinect for $400 and with Kinect for $500.

 

Xbox One stand-alone Kinect hits market Oct. 6 for $149

$150 kinect....but the xbox one alone sells for $400......the bundled xbox one with kinect was $500....you save $50 off bundled kinect xbox one

There will always be options/extra with everything that some people will find a use for, others not so much. If an individual feels it wont suit them, then they should walk away from the purchase, and buy something more suited to there tastes.

 

No, I don't think people would be demanding a free kinect. The reason is, I really can't see what else it could possibly do that would make people queue up to get one. If they bring out a feature a feature that kinect can do which is totally mind blowing,
I will be the first to say I was wrong and apologise...... I just can't see it getting any better.

 

Some people's minds won't be blown by whatever feature they come up with. So people feel immense ire with even the thought of the Kinect. You cannot please everyone MS will stop making concession when it becomes too cost prohibitive to accommodate the
"vocal minority."

 

I don't use the Kinect that much, but that being said I couldn't imagine my XBOX without it.

 

I think ms would of done better making it a separate in the beginning, i think a lot more people would of bought an X1 and in turn a lot more would of bought a kinect to experience what it could do. I was a day one buyer and have no regrets, I'm glad I
got to find out for myself what it was like. Would I of gone out and bought a kinectless X1 in the beginning? Probably, but I would of probably picked up a kinect later to try it out. Problem is ms didn't give people that initial choice.

 

Choice to buy it or not....Now,Microsoft just add a 3rd choice.

 

I hate these type of threads, brings out the worst of this so called xbox community. Its no community at all with all the SDF about and xbox haters.

Jeez I am annoyed I spent extra on the 360 then they brought out integrated wifi and a bigger hard disk for the same money. boo hoo ....

 

Yes well, unfortunately for Microsoft most people chose "not".

 

Had mine since day1 and after a few tweeks by me and by Microsoft it is working quite well. You have to remember this is still a new technology and it will take awhile to make it perfect

Its more to do with this whole forum, I remember coming on here and spending an hour or so going through threads, catching up with news and hype.

Now you start a positive xbox thread and it gets trolled to death and removed, so you just end up with complaints and boring threads.

 

OP - Don't know if you've tried it yet, but If you have the PS4 and a simple headset connected. Try speaking into the headset. "PlayStation go to..." Game/Home etc.

No $100.00 + Dollar Kinect needed for such a simple task eh.

As for "calibrated right" - Unless you live alone, with no visitors at all to your pad, you'll always be calibrating the Kinect.
