"UPnP not successful" but I only have hotspot

Hello all, today i decided today to boot my Xbox up and have a relaxed gaming experience, until I am greeted by "UPnP unsuccessful". I decided to look it up on Google, until I am greeted with bold text "Router" I thought to my self "I screwed" because I only have hotspot (Not a router) if anyone knows how to resolve this problem please reply back. your Google hotspot is the equivalent of a router

You need to call Google support for help with their product

UPnP is not successful. Is this a problem? If so I don’ know how to turn it on with my hotspot.

I clicked the link which took me to another Xbox support page. I scrolled through and found no information about “UPnP not successful”, but I found a way to turn on/off UPnP. The only problem is that the directions are for a router. Is there any way I would be able to get help with UPnP problems on a hotspot?

So it did work on mobile hotspot, but the dns thing didn't work. I am now noticing it says UPnP not successful.

Thanks for reaching out here in Xbox Forums. I understand there is an issue with UPnP unavailable and fetching the online profile for Call of Duty : WW2. The Hotspot does not have the available configuration to troubleshoot.

I recommend trying the following troubleshooting article:
UPnP not successful in your network settings.
