OK will they ever patch this SO you do not have to use Kinect in order to upload some clips?? I have just over 47 clips from BF4 I would like to upload them someday, thanks.

Uploading to Youtube

I didn't go for an elgato as I wanted one that worked without a pc (and the elgato's were quite pricey).
The one I bought just records to USB stick which suits our needs.
The file can then be run through some editing software to add text, effects etc.
My son was well happy with it and has already uploaded a load of videos to youtube.

You need to have your Kinect in order to make clips or to edit them through the Upload Studio and since uploading works only through the Upload Studio, I highly doubt it will change.

 

OH so they are hanging on to the ONE USE that is for KINECT?? LOL Im sorry I didn't think there was any use for it other than waving your arms around like a dummy an running on the spot while yelling Xbox! Record!

 

Well, they have to keep it up and give you the impression that the Kinect is useful for *something*. Maybe one day they'll realize that the Kinect is a gimmick. Hopefully.

 

Guys, there's no need to be negative nancies - if you don't like it, then don't use it. It's that simple...

 

yeah OK no problem, other than the fact that I still scratching my head wondering what Kinect has to do with up-loading clips from your xbox one, there trying to force me to use it. I have no problem with people an what they do in there own homes, but when
xbox makes me have to use something I don't want? well I have to say something.

 

how about trying to use the machine as it was designed for? simple fact... does having a box plugged in sitting above your TV worry you so much? I mean seriously..

just do it directly through the youtube app now it has been updated? thought that just let you choose clips to upload directly unless you specifically want them on the onedrive or something or i guess you need to be trimming etc but guess you have to do
the reverse and upload to youtube download to a pc and edit dont see why it has to require kinect if your not voicing over it or doing a webcam type cast or something

 

I vote with the majority here. Take off the tin foil hat and give the Kinect a chance. You may find that you like it.

 

Having it plugged in is not forcing you to use it. The app needs the kinect to allow for certain functions to work therefore without kinect plugged in you do not have the necessary equipment for upload. Plug it in upload your clips then take it out.

And besides without voice over or picture in picture of your face and commentary no one will watch your videos anyway. This gen in gaming people want to see who they are watching! Or atleast hear you.

Get with the times bud.

Hey you guys i want to make a video of me and my friend drifting in horizon 2, since this is about upload and i want to share an idea, here we go; what about downloading a friends video, maybe with security, so not just any friend can steal your clips, but
with your approval they can. So i can add those two clips together to make an awesome video, both screens showing mine and his, and everything will come together nicely! What about that? Please reply if you think the same way and we will be noticed by Xbox
