Upload/Upload Studio causing severe lag?

So lately I've had an issue with both apps listed in the thread's title. First, with the Upload app, as of this past week, it takes me forever to load up my own clips/captures (counted in whole minutes). Now, I've mentioned many times in the past that my
Internet connection is not the best (6mbps down and 1 mbps up with ~100ms ping for latency), so I'm trying to figure out if these apps are simply using up more online resources as a direct result of the recent update to these apps - these means those of you
who have better Internet connections may not even suffer from this issue. Using these apps in the past used to only lag my network if I was trying to upload clips, but now it seems to do it no matter what as long as the apps remain open. Earlier today, my
family complained of slowdown while I was editing a clip which I had not yet even started to upload and, just now, while I was watching a clip, the quality went to crud and my brother who was watching Hulu Plus in another room complained of the same thing. Neither
of these things has ever been an issue network-wise before today.

If you have a similar connection speed to mine, I'd simply like to know if you're suffering from the same or similar issues. If you can do this for me, I'd appreciate it!

Upload Studio/Game DVR won't work!!

Upload Studio seems to have been broken for about 2 weeks now, I am unable to upload a clip of any kind thru the Upload Studio, I have to upload them thru my clip manager.

Did you install Upload Studio before your Kinect? 1) Uninstall Upload Studio 2) Go do the two part set up for your Kinect 3) be sure the Kinect Recognizes you @ Sign-in 4) Launch Upload Studio

 

I have "good" Internet (above National Average) and every Snap or App has always been terribly slow to open. It is an issue with the Xbox One. If an above National Average Internet can't open Apps/ Snap on the Xbox One it is a
design issue with the Xbox One or XBL or both.

 

or it could be down to the fact that live has been very slow this week in general.

 

Note- why I made sure to state "has always been". Almost everything on the Xbox One has always
been very slow to open. I've had my Console since Day One.

 

While I appreciate your input, LK, I don't think that's the case because everything up to this point has opened very quickly for me and with the exception of Upload/Upload Studio, it all continues to do so.

 

I have a crap connection here but it still works.

I sometimes cant share clips but I think I figured the reason for that and they work after a while.

The thing is you should have a steady connection no matter how good or bad it is.

Maybe check for that but what do I know.

 

It may also have to do with the new preview program update because I rarely use Upload but have been having the same problem.

GG so am I. How does this explain the Xbox One always being slow or flat out broken to opening anything since Day One? I can't say everyone's X1 has always been slow since Day One but I also find it very hard to believe it never
happens to you or anyone that states it does not happen or has not happened since.

Just today it was more frustration. I go to Launch a Game and it (the X1) just sits there with the Game Placard maximized. I then go to the Home Dashboard to see if I can Quit the Game. It only shows it is not even running. I
try another Game only to find it is doing the same thing. This time when I go to Home the prior Game is showing in the Main Field. After about five minutes of trying different solutions, I Hard Reset the X1.

The above is not an isolated incident but is becoming more of an over-all theme of the X1. If it can't even play a Game, it's presence is becoming less and less wanted. The King is dead, long live the King.

 

Just out of curiosity, what speed do you get LK?

I never have issues opening games only when there are server issues on the game side which only happens with one game so far.

But it seems like after a while some stuff of a game works slower if you have a game and apps open so I close what I dont use.

Then it works faster but that is normal.

They can probably make that even better over the time.

How come you have that issue since day one?

I mean I like speed and I hate loading screens with a passion and I have less tolerance for waiting times and tend to quit and stop what I was doing instead of waiting unless it is an update or the waiting is worth it other way.

When I launch Halo the time it takes to load to the main screen to press the menu button is the highest you can get out of me.

It does not take long but for me it takes ages.

I do not like the loading bar when I start a mission in Halo but it seems like that slowly get updated and works better.

What games are you playing?

Is that with every game or could this be a developer thats not used to Xbox One yet?

And I don't believe it is a Developer Issue with Games not Launching seeing as how it from a varied and wide assortment. To add to this, the X1 is keeping either an App be it Game or otherwise from starting past the Title Placard

I never personally have a problem starting games. The general slowness of the system i have always experienced.

Up until just after Xmas, I was on a rubbish 2-5mbps connection, since then we got fiber in my area and am now on 76 down 20 up.... The difference to my X1 apps between the two speeds is zero, it's made no difference getting a better connection.
