Upload Studio Music Work-Around Not Working

Okay, so I'm trying to put music into my montage on Upload Studio by connecting an AUX cable from my stereo adapter to my phone, then pressing record voice and play the song I want, but whenever I listen to it no music comes out. Could anyone please help
me fix this? I really don't want to try hard resetting my Xbox because I've worked really hard on this montage and from what I understand there is no way to save it and come back and edit it...

Try to remove the UPLOAD STUDIO and power cycle, then try to record the clips without re installing the upload studio.

If all works try to reinstall the app. So far it is working for me!

I am not interested in what upload studio does or does not do, and that includes file explorer or doing it on my PC, I am reporting a function that's already on the system NOT working, and asking if it's going to get fixed, so it actually works, because
starting up Upload Studio app or file explorer or doing it on my PC, takes way longer to do than the function that's already there, that is NOT working

Sorry you're having issues getting your music on upload studio. If I understand correctly you're trying to use a cable from the Stereo Headset Adapter to receive audio for your settings. The first thing I would do is make sure that the device you're
plugging in has the same wire configuration as the input for the adapter.

I have a Windows Phone and its not working for me either. This phone doesn't seem to be compatible with anything.

 

Same for me my Lumia950xl and the aux cable I use in the car will not record through the head set adapter. Is it that its an elite controller?
