Upload Studio - Gold Live features for family members?

I signed up for XBox Gold Live 12 month paid subscription today, but only my userid can access the Upload Studio features like 'Add Voice-Over' or 'Add Kinect'. They are greyed out for my family members who have userids registered on this XBox One.

Myself and every userid in my family has "This is your home Xbox" in Settngs / Personalization / My home Xbox, so the Gold Live features should be accessible to everyone. Is Upload Studio an exception to the way Gold Live works on everything else?

Do I need to buy another XBox Gold Live membership for every userid in my family for them to be able to make full use of Upload Studio?

Upload is not uploading videos for family

Hello, dear members,

Together with my son we made a game DVR video and wanted to share it with the rest of family. However:

1. I cannot see my sons clip on activity feed

2. Share function is not available in upload/upload studio

It seems that based on "This includes Upload, which will be available to all Xbox Live Gold members."

his own Live Gold subscription.

I am fine with multiplayer limitations of Live Gold, though to me it makes no sense to impose limitation to Gold features on family members on home Xbox.

Question: am I doing anything wrong, is it Gold limitation, or is it a bug in Upload/Upload Studio?

I went through through XBox Settings / Privacy & online safety for all of my family's userids ensuring everything was 'allowed' such as "Share game clips" , "Share content made using Kinect" , etc (all of the video capture & share & kinect stuff). That
didn't do anything.

After logging in and out of every userid so that I could see who had full access in Upload Studio, I concluded that the access problem was probably age related based on the microsoft account setup birthday. .. My youngest did not have access and there was
no setting that I could find to give full access to Upload Studio while still maintaining their real age (under 13).

... So like so many others have done, I reset the birthday to make them 13 and everything instantly started working. I saw the birthday hack being used on so many other posts, but I figured there had to be an individual access selection somewhere. But
like so many of the other posts recommend, lying about the birthday fixes the problem (and opens up all kinds of new ones).

So I end up giving a poor rating to Microsoft's new family privacy features. In their effort to make it simple they have made it ineffective (by grouping access features by age / without individual access options). It reminds me of Apple's privacy & safety
features. .. You get a few batches of "simple" options and that's it. The manufacturer (not the parent) chooses what goes into the batch options. .. Weak.

If there is a known method of granting a user full access to Upload Studio (for a user who has a Microsoft account age that is under 13), please post it.

The simple fact is, that when you are dealing with CHILD ACCOUNTS, that IF you want them to have access to many of LIVE's features such as Upload Studio, Twitch, SKYPE, etc, that you CANNOT have a child account set up for this use, because your choice of
birthday will set the account up as a child, and as I understand it, LOCK it out of these features until the user reaches 18.

The Simple fix for this is to set up the account as a normal user, which will make it a non issue. Parental Controls tend to be too restrictive sometimes, and parents usually can tell what apps are appropriate for the Family to use.
