    Upload Speed Issue

I am seriously hoping someone can help me with this as Microsoft Support nor my verizon ISP are unable to help me.

I am with Verizon and I have the model MI424WR. When I hard wire my connection from my router to my laptop, I get perfect speeds. 80 Mbps download and 25 Mbps upload. However, when I plug my xbox one up to my router, I have 80 Mbps download, BUT my upload
speed is at a pathetic 1.8 Mbps.

Would anyone know what settings I need to adjust to get my Xbox One to have better upload speeds. My overall goal is to broadcast my gameplay over twitch using the built in Twitch app on my Xbox one, but my videos constantly produce poor quality and constant
    bufferings. The videos are unwatchable.

What do I need to do to get at least close to the upload speeds I am receiving on my laptop. I have been dealing with this issue for over a week and I am frankly tired and frustrated.

All week I have been on the Phone and Microsoft says its a Verizon issue and to call them and Verizon says its an xbox issue. That's been my phone conversations all week.

    Please...please...help me.

    :)

    Upload Speed Issue

    Hi the mad newfie!

    We noticed you revived an
    older thread
, so we split the post to assist you on your own individual thread.

Thanks for reaching out and letting us know that this is something that is happening whether wired or wireless. The best recommendation I have regarding your upload speeds is to

    power cycle your console
and network hardware simultaneously for a minimum of 5 minutes. Other than that, you may want to look into

    port forwarding your Xbox One
    .

    Hope this helps out!

  3. Upload Speed Issue

I have the same exact issue with poor upload speeds - only on my Xbox One

Wired or wireless - into the router or directly to my cable modem I get a max of just over 1mpbs

All other devices in my house get 10mbps - rock solid consistency

My download on my Xbox and all other devices is fine (near 120mbps) - both wired and wireless

This has not always been the case but sometime in the last month or two .. Not sure when .. This is my new normal

    Please help

Yes, my speeds were perfectly when I plug into a computer and run speed tests. I hit everything perfectly. Download speed averages around 80 mbps and upload around 28 mbps. However, I can use that same cord, unplug it from my computer and plug it into my
xbox and my upload speed drops to 1.75 mbps. Download speed remains fine at 82 mbps.

I just need to find a way to get my upload speed up to where it needs to be.

I'm not a tech wizard, but could this be a router setting that needs to be adjusted?

My friend who has an x1 lives 45 minutes away from me has the same isp and simply plugged up his xbox like normal and got 22 upload speed.

Btw, this is my 2nd xbox one I am testing. I had a new one sent to me and I am still getting crap upload speed.

  6. Some routers and gateways have built into them management of different types of internet traffic. Its called QoS (quality of service). Log into your gateway and see if you have this. If you do and it is on try turning it off. I am not saying that this is
your issue..... Its just one idea.

    One question.

Is your Xbox One connected by cable or wireless? If wireless, I suggest to you test it with cable. And check do you get same speed or better.

I'll check my QoS. Ive seen it on my gateway.

My xbox is wired. I know you get much better speeds when wired. Again, my download speed is just fine. Only my upload speed is bad.

I don't really see an option to turn off QoS. It's just a page that displays an option to add devices to it.

I have relatively the same issue as the OP, I have Verizon and the same router, speeds are 50 Mb/s down and 25 Mb/s up. However, my Xbox One, when I run the Detailed Network Statistics, gets good download (around 40 Mb/s) and good upload (around 10 Mb/s).

My problem is with the Twitch App, it constantly recommends very low quality (like 800-1000 Kbps) and sometime I get close to 2000 Kbps, but regardless of what i select, the quality of the stream when watching it from another device is very pixelated and
    choppy.

I have tried all things, uninstall app, hard reboot, etc, etc. Very annoying.

Hello, do you already performed a console power cycle? this will fix most of the times this kind of issues, here are the instructions in the following link:

    https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/power-cycle-console

Let us know if these sugestions fix your issue, or if you need more assistance?
They mentioned that in the original post.

To OP: Have you turned on Quality of Service (QoS) by any chance? Are you connected via wireless or ethernet?
