Discus and support Upload speed and packet loss - Verizon Fios in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Currently using verizon fios, connection speed is 50/10.     Upload speed and packet loss - Verizon Fios


    Currently using verizon fios, connection speed is 50/10. Connection converts to Ethernet via built in modem in the wall so I used a Netgear 3700 router to split the connection. I have it on a fixed IP for the Xbox One and DMZ'ed as well. I also had all
    the ports fowarded. Its connected via wire.

    My problem comes from my connection with live. Speeds coming back up on upload section 0.5 MBps to 1 MBps. Twitch only recommends that I upload at 500 kpbs. I don't know what else I can do. I've tried connecting via wireless as well and it has the same
    issues. My computers and all other hardware have flawless internet connection. Any suggestions?

    I am also experiencing unacceptable upload packet loss:

    Provider: SaskTel

    Ping: 74ms

    Download Speed: 3.85Mbs

    Upload Speed: 0.69Mbs

    Download Packet Loss: 0%

    Upload Packet Loss: 8%

    NAT type Open

    I'm not quiet sure on modem manufacturer but I think it's Verizon

    What are the your results if you do a detailed network statistics?

    Xbox connect to wireless network but not Internet

    A lot of the time this has to do with packet loss or download and upload speed.

    Try running www.pingtest.net and www.speedtest.net

    Make sure your download speed is above 3mbps and your upload speed is above 1.5mbps

    Also make sure on the pingtest page that you have no packet loss :)
