Upload app no longer shows my friends videos

I am unsure when this happened, but I remember when I got my Xbox One, I could go to Upload and see my friends uploads. When I tried doing this yesterday, it was no longer working.

When I launch the Upload app, I just see featured, games, recent, and feature users. There should be 'my friends' between featured and games.

I have been having a few issues with the Xbox that I have been working with support to resolve. I have done the following:

- reset to factory settings (to solve another issue, and this was the first time I tried upload since then)

- did a full reboot to clear the caches

- removed my profile, and then downloaded it again - still didn't work

- logged into my wife's account, and it did show her friends videos in the right spot (so the app didn't remove this feature)

Has anyone seen this before? How can I correct this? I am wondering if part of my profile has become corrupted or what I can do to fix this.

Can no longer upload videos or screenshots!

Guys, since the Windows 1803 update, i can no longer upload videos or screenshots to Xbox Live, via the Xbox app from my PC.

Why, it worked before?!

 

OneDrive not showing Upload clip?

I've recorded clips, edited them, saved, making sure I clicked upload to one drive and says it done it. It shows on my videos and feed on the Xbox one but nothing is going onto the one drive. Checked on the XB1 app, android app and online.

No videos on it, it's getting frustrating now

 

Op, I haven't got an answer for you but thought I might mention that I've been getting an error code every time I open it now. I'm letting you know you're not alone with problems with this.

 

No, I am not in the beta. I am not getting an error codes. Basically as the panes load, it seems to take the slightest bit longer to load the 'games' one (probably because its usually off screen), and I guess there are only 4 panes versus the usual 5.

 

Now Ive tried everything from rebooting all my network gear, restarting the Xbox one several times, etc. Still no change. Its odd, I don't even get an error, it just doesn't show what so ever.

 

How odd, only other thing i can think of is something to do with firewall or Ports, Might be blocking one. Can you temp turn your firewall off, do a hard reset to clear the cache and try again. The update is out tomorrow which also might resolve it. I guess
Microsoft support after that if nobody has an idea to try.

 

Lumpy you aren't crazy.... mine is just as you described yours should be. That is an odd one. I've had some issues but nothing related to upload app.

 

Do you still see clips your friends load in your friend's feed?

 

That 1 Dude - you aren't seeing your friends either? I can see my friends clips in the Friends app, and even clicking on those launch the Upload app! But I can't see that extra pane which is what I am looking for.

Its just that the one extra feature I would like about it is missing, which is the oddest part when it is supposed to be there.

 

f000 - I have reset and restarted everything now multiple times through Xbox Support (on twitter), furthest I have gotten now is to try it on another machine and thats a 'odd one'. Ive literally restarted 5 times since Friday.

Well, this is slightly embarrassing, but also still odd or buggy.

I followed Major Nelson last night to see if new friends on XBL would flip something in this app, and it did. Upload now shows a friends section, but just him.

I have about 35 friends, but only about 5 of them have a One. Of that group, only one or two of them have uploaded anything in the last month.

I think what is happening is the app doesn't select the last set number of videos, instead it limits that by date. For example, one of my friends most recent videos is 2 weeks ago. The last that show for Major Nelson are 8 days ago. I then went and unfriended
and then added a friend back who had most recently updated a video 2 weeks ago. That didn't change anything.

So it may have literally been that no one had shared anything recently! But, its an odd UI to get that across. For example, I really wish it would display all friends that had uploaded videos, in reverse chronological order. Or in the list of friends uploads,
it would show all friends that had uploaded something.

I guess they are date limiting and then number limiting, to filter out people who post a lot versus those who don't. And as maybe a feature request - it would be nice if there was a way in the app to see all friends and their videos right together, no matter
how old. Or at least allow more than a few weeks worth.

I am going to get a friend to post a video to see if that makes any changes before I consider this 'done'. I would also be curious to know for those users with friends and uploads, what are they seeing time wise.

For a friends video to show up in the Upload app, how many of the steps below do they have to take?

1) Just say 'xbox record that'

2) Go into the Upload app and 'save' the clip

3) Go into Upload Studio and work on the clip?

My guess is #1, maybe #2.

How far do they have to go for these to show up in their Profile? For example, if I look at a few friends videos (from their profile), I see the game, or Upload studio if they went in and trimmed or added stuff to the video.

I am trying to test this to get to the actual issue at hand and better understand how this application works. If I am asking a friend to go through some processes to see whats up with my actual issue, I would like to know what to get them to do.
