    Upgrading to Xbox Series X


    Hi everyone,

    Not so much a technical question but just asking for a bit of advice.

    I can happily announce that I am finally upgrading to a series X with gamepass ultimate as well on the Klarna finance programme. My question is what happens when I change my gold account into the gamepass ultimate account? Will I get a code to input that will automatically change my account? Also what will happen to my monthly £6.99 gold debit?

    If anyone can explain what I'm sure is a relatively simple process it would be greatly appreciated as I want to jump in as soon as I can when it gets here.

    Not really...

    Xbox Series X games / upgrades / updates has to be installed onto the Series X internal or expansion card SSD,

    You can have Xbox One games on your external hard drive that will get an Series X upgrade but the games will need to be transferred to the Series X and then the Series X upgrade will need to be downloaded onto the Series X SSD,

    As an example...

    I have Marvel Avengers on my external hard drive that will get the Series X upgrade and I will transfer the game over to the Series X SSD ready to download and update the game to the Series X version when available.

    I do have the current Xbox Series X with the disk drive will I need the Digital Xbox Series X without the disk drive when it will announced and released yes or no?

    Gerardo Upgrade to the New Digital Xbox Series X or stick with current Xbox Series X the one with disk drive on the physical one ?

    Unfortunately not, you can only upgrade from the Xbox One console to the series X or series S.
