Upgrading to game pass ultimate with less than a month of live remaining

I’m trying to get game pass ultimate now so its on a date that works for me but it wants to upgrade my remaining xbox live and i can’t cancel that it just says contact support, if i upgrade to game pass ultimate is it going to just give me ultimate for my
remaining live days or will it give me the full month? I dont want to be paying full price for half a month mostly because i want to have subscription roll roughly on this date not in a few weeks when my current sub ends.
So its 1st may now and my standard live memberships ends 12th, if i upgrade to ultimate will ultimate end on 12th or will it give me the full month?

Also theres not option to just purchase game pass seperately it automatically tries to upgrade, one solution of course would be buy non ultimate game pass but i still need live i just dont want pay date on the current date its on

Thanks for this, i read the tab in that link and i see i just missed something as it does indeed explain it. My only problem now is getting the payment date to something closer to the end of the month but i’ve got a month to figure that out now 👍

When you upgrade to ultimate (I guess you are buying the one month offer probably), all remaining time on other subs you have are converted to ultimate plus you still get the month of ultimate you are paying for. So in your case, if you upgrade with
a monthly sub, your ultimate should expire on June 12th.

Yes anything that you have already 'paid for' and have yet to use get converted into the Game Pass Ultimate program when you upgrade to that.

If You Get Game Pass Ultimate It Will Convert Your Xbox Live Gold 1 Year Into Game Pass Ultimate For The Remaining Time Left On Your Year Subscription. So For Example If You Have Xbox Live Gold Paid For A Year And You Upgrade To Game Pass Ultimate It Will Convert It To One Year Game Pass Ultimate Or However Many Months You Have Left Of Your Subscription.

You can add the 24 months of Ultimate to your existing subscription as long as it won't go over 36 months. If it were to go over the 36 months, you would need to wait until you have 12 months or less remaining on your subscription before redeeming the 24
months of Ultimate.
