Updating xbox one

Who can I take my xbox one to to have it updated? I purchased it new 6 months ago and was not educated as a consumer. I live in a rural area that has limited cell phone coverage and does not have service via Charter or phone line internet service. My
son bought a 2017 baseball game and while trying to download it from the disc, we got a message saying the xbox one needs to be updated. Updating the xbox via my cell phone hotspot did not work. I would like to take it someplace to have it updated and pay
for this service. I do not feel it is right to bother friends or family to have this device updated. Any suggestions? I am also hoping with this message that maybe a customer caring individual from Microsoft may take action to help a customer in need and

Mic adapter stuck on mute

my xbox one adapter is stuck on mute I have tried updating turning off and on and updating old controllers please help I don't want to buy a new one

You would have to check with any local places around you that would allow you to connect to their internet or any friends who may have internet.
