Updating while using hot spot

    Updating while using hot spot


    I'm trying to update my xbox one while using hotspot. I get to16% and then the screen says there was a problem updating and try again. 4 times I re did it, the same thing happened. Why can't I update my xbox? There's nothing wrong with the connection.

    AKAMRBLAZANGAME Have you tried re-creating the hot spot? I mean creating new password and renaming it? I've had the same problem with computer while using phone created hot spot. Changed password and renamed it and it started working

    Netflix,Zune,Hulu Plus, and Windows Media Center all randomly disconnect.

    I have now tried using cell phone hot spots and still having the same issue.

    It worked for us over a hot spot mobile provider Vodafone. We started the download on the hot-spot then once it had started switched to Three mobile WiFi through the hauwei router and the download of rainbow six seige completed saving data on the hot-spot.
    But the queued games didn't so we will have to start any download/update on the hot spot then switch over.

    OK I did that, rolled back updates and then used my iPhone as hot spot to download the update. It took about 20 minutes

    Tried to connect again to my hot spot on my velocity unit and still, cannot connect

    So how is it possible? What in the world could be happening?

    Same here - at least working now by starting it via phone hotspot, then switching back to Huawei 4G router for the main download. Still wondering why the router is blocking the initial start of download - maybe need to whitelist something in the router settings?
