Updating profile pic on Mixer

Hi all,

I have been trying to customize my Mixer page and upload a custom made avatar, but any time I get as far as uploading it, it acts like it is and then nothing. Do I need to be partnered with Mixer in order to customize features like this?

How to change account name? (Not Gamertag)

Hello,

I was updating my profile info and I noticed that I can't change the account name on my profile. Can/how do you do this? I included a pic of what exactly I am talking about below; let me know if it works.

What's the purpose of modern Avatar?

Like I said, I will double check Profile is an app or not when I get home. An app can be closed from the home tab just like how anyone close a game that frees up memory.

So, aside from what is considered dashboard. Do you have any other insight to what's the purpose of the new Avatar?

There is no games using the new avatar, nor any announcement of games about it. The only time you can see it, is on a tiny 2D gamer Pic or your have to see it in the profile screen which people rarely go to.

The only time it may be used is showing other people's avatar in activity screen, which I am just assuming they would work this way. And even that, it doesn't seem useful at all.

It can be that the picture is too big or that the device you are using can be low on space and memory

 

So, this has been an issue forever. What Drac says is correct as the picture might be too big. It doesn't give you an error message when it is the wrong size.

I have also found that when you change your profile pic it sometimes takes a few minutes to show up. I have gone and done some streams or checked out my friends and then all of a sudden it is updated.

Check the size of thw picture not all picture sizes works you jave to keep trying until you got the right one.

 

It took me a fee tries to get a pic that worked on mine because of sizing.

 

Well this is a lovely theory, but I created an image of the size that is recommended and it will not load. Also I know there is more than enough room on the drive for my system so that can't be the issue either. Also when I tried to change the background
I selected one (would prefer to create my own, but I don't see how I could) and it doesn't change either.

 

So it seems that it does take some time. I had tried several times to change the avatar, and finally gave up to see if I could find some help here, when I went back a while later it was finally changed.

I haven't had any luck changing the background however, even though I have tried a few different ones and it has also been a while since I tried and it's still the same one.

Any suggestions on that issue would be appreciated.
