Updating my Live Account Email

I've spoke to 1 person on phone support in Dec/Jan, I've spoke to two chat reps in the past two months, and just yesterday reached out to Xbox support through Twitter and the guy I was talking to never replied back. Still hasn't.

I do technical support/customer service for a living so I know how this works. All I need is a yes it can be done or no it can't or we won't because A, B, or C.

The issue is, that my primary email account was never confirmed on Live, and that email account no longer exist. I would like to change it. I cannot follow the instructions in the support article to add an
alias because the primary email has not nor cannot be confirmed. It gives you an error in red lettering stating you need to confirm the primary email/alias first.

Can someone in a higher tier of Xbox Support, make these changes because on the backend. Three people have tried to help already and I'm still waiting with no resolution.

Have you got this resolved? My sister just got an Android and is having a similar issue. We wrote on the tech support forums and are just waiting for a response. I guess I'll give Live a call tomorrow if I can't figure it out soon. We both use my sister's free account so we are having the same problem. So frustrating.

I've had a live account for years now but when I set it up I used my gmail email. I also have an local free profile for my wife that I set it up using my Live.com email account. My wife's account doesn't have a Live gold pass so it's just a free local account. Recently I signed up for a xbox Live Music pass about a month ago and I've been enjoying it so far (gmail account)....so to the Issue.
I just got a new Windows phone. All sync'd up and working with my live email account. My music pass though is not showing up for my Live account so I can't sync up my playlist and such. There is also no option to "log in" to your music pass as it uses the account the phone is already setup with which is my Live account.

So how do I switch my music pass to be associated to my Live account? I've been trying for hours to just delete my Wife's free profile account so I can remove my Live email association but I can't figure out how. I do know that I'll have to change my XboxLive account name which is cool with me. But when I try to switch my account over it says My email that I want to use is already in used by a Xbox profile (Yeah, my wifes').

 

If anyone from Support can help that'll be great, if not, I'm done trying. 3 chats and 2 support calls later, it doesn't look like Xbox created a contingency for this type of issue.

 

Hi Tango! There is a way for you to do this on your end. First, I will need to know if you are getting an error when you login to your account due to your primary email never being confirmed. If you are, let me know, because that will guide how we go
about fixing it.

If you are getting the "Call us Overprotective" type error, then if you attempt to access your account on a computer, you should be able to see a link which would give you the option to use a different email. This would let you bypass using this old primary
email. (You don't see the link on mobile browsers)

There is another way to do it, but that is the easiest if you're getting that error. Let me know if that works for you!
