    Updating Issue for my Xbox Series X and Xbox One X


    So, I was using my Xbox Series X yesterday. Worked perfectly fine. I tried to turn it on today, and it won't even make a sound. Getting frustrated, I turn on my Xbox One X. I haven't played it in a bit, so it is understandable that it would have an update. It took a while to update, which is odd because it hasn't been THAT long (maybe a few weeks) since it was used last. As soon as it was about finished updating, boom, it fails. It is now stuck on the troubleshooting screen. Factory resetting just turns it off and back on again, straight to the troubleshooting screen. Offline updating is unavailable because it is a preview update system. I have seen some other posts here about people having trouble updating their systems. So, I wonder if the updates are the cause of my non-functioning Series X, and my almost non-functioning One X . Well, anyway, only other option I have is taking them to get serviced. Series X is out of warranty, and is $300 for service plus shipping. One X is no longer serviceable, and would also be out of warranty. I am very disappointed in Microsoft right now. No new damage to either systems (Series X was scratched in a suitcase 2 years ago, so I technically can't say no damage). Both stopped working at the same time. I think it is not just coincidence that this is occurring. Thus, I am upset from the lack of accountability on Microsoft's part. note, both systems are enrolled in Preview Updates, forgot which circle

    Xbox Series X disconnects from WiFi when turned off

    I’m not sure how to reach these settings, but I’m quite certain it is not an issue with my router. My series x has worked for months before now, and all other devices on the network are working, including my Xbox one and Xbox one x. I have been having this issue since roughly the time that my series x last updated, is it possible that the issue is an overlooked bug in the series x OS?

    Series x connects to hotspot but not my wifi.

    I am having this same issue. Mine started about a week and a half ago, soon after the latest OS update to my series x. similarly, it works fine with my hotspot. My family has a Xbox one, and one x, which are having no issues, but my series X is having issues. I’m guessing it must be a bug in the operating system, but please keep the thread updated if you find a solution!

    Xbox Series X games / upgrades / updates has to be installed onto the Series X internal or expansion card SSD,

    You can have Xbox One games on your external hard drive that will get an Series X upgrade but the games will need to be transferred to the Series X and then the Series X upgrade will need to be downloaded onto the Series X SSD,

    As an example...

    I have Marvel Avengers on my external hard drive that will get the Series X upgrade and I will transfer the game over to the Series X SSD ready to download and update the game to the Series X version when available.
