Updating email address, verification link not working??

Just thought of another thing;

5.) Why is there no verification email sent regarding a change of email address or location linked to the gamertag? It strikes me that all (?) of these instances could have been avoided if when the details were changed a simple verification email was sent
to the original email address asking them to authorise the change? Isn't that pretty much standard practice these days?

As per my notes above this issue appears to have been caused by Microsoft not sending the verification email from XBOX to link the accounts and ROBLOX for allowing the account to continue without this verification.

IF Microsoft could resend this verification it means the email address would be registered with the ROBLOX account allowing them to verify the ownership.

Firstly, there was a reference number on my email, in small print at the bottom. So sorry for saying there wasn't.

And I've contacted Phone Support and spoken to a very nice gentleman who was able to see the alternate email that was linked to my account and sent a verification number to that address.

And so the issue should be sorted within the next 24 hours apparently, with my new email address no linked properly to the account, so in the future any verification emails will get sent there rather than that old email that I no longer have access to.

If you no longer have access to the email address associated with your Microsoft account, you will need to update your email address in order to receive authentication codes and other account-related information.

Here are the steps you can follow to update your email address associated with your Microsoft account:

Go to the Microsoft account sign-in page and log in with your current email address and password.

Once you are signed in, click on your profile picture or initials in the top right corner of the page, and select "View account" from the dropdown menu.

On the Account page, click on "Your info" in the navigation bar at the top of the page.

Under "Contact info," click on "Email."

On the Email page, you can add a new email address under "Add email." Enter your new email address, and click on "Add email."

Microsoft will send a verification code to your new email address. Enter the verification code on the Email page and click on "Verify."

Once your new email address is verified, you can select it as your primary email address by clicking on "Make primary" next to the email address.

After you have updated your email address, you can use the new email address to authenticate your Microsoft account and update your Xbox Live privacy settings.

Note: If you have enabled two-step verification, you may need to update your authentication method to use the new email address. You can do this by going to the Security page on your Microsoft account and selecting "Update info" under "Security info."
