Updating a disc

    I have the disc stardew valley and I can't update it when you should be able to. I want to be able to get some of the things the update gives. Please help.

    Stuck trying to update, always fails giving error code - can't get out of this loop

    When updating from a game disc you will need to complete the update using the same game disc so that may be worth trying. Boot the xbox up with the game disc in the drive.

    Updating without disc?

    Hi.

    I'm just wondering if you install a game offline then connect to Xbox Live and try to launch the game so that the update starts, after you go back to the home screen will the update continue if you remove the disc?

    I have quite a slow internet connection so I was planning to install all my games offline then put each disc in again while online to queue all the updates overnight, but I tried taking the call of duty disc out during the update and then started installing
    Forza and now COD has disappeared from my games and apps.

    Are you absolutely sure that this update is actually available for the Xbox One?

    its just that Stardew Valley is on virtually every other system on the planet, and more than likely you have been reading about the much talked about PC update that got release a week or so ago.

    If that's the case it can take a while for the developer to get the same update to consoles, just wait patiently and it will get released in good time.

    Updates for games stop at 99%

    If installing updates for a disc game you will need to insert the disc for it to finish the update.

    was it a system update or an overwatch update? if it was a system update the disc has nothing to do with it; if it was a game update the disc might be damaged and you may need to replace it.
    I believe it was an overwatch update but then why would the xbox scratch up the disc.

    Hi, it looks like the console was updating from a game disc and the disc was removed before the update completed. Can you remember which disc was last in the console? If not then start with the latest game you purchased, maybe GTA 5? Pop the disc into the
    disc drive and the console should complete the update.
