Updates taking up too much space

I want to know how the hell a UI update takes up nearly 2gigabytes worth of memory. I feel the xbox one has FAR too little space for the file size of the games. Why was it not given at least a 1TB hard drive by default if you can only have 15 games installed!
I have over 200 games installed on my 360 and I'm just now getting around to running out of space, I get 15 games on xbox one and the *** thing is ready to burst. GIVE US AN OPTION NOT TO INSTALL EVERY *** GAME JUST TO PLAY.

    :)

  2. All DLC pulled from Live

I wouldn't stress too much about the DLC for this game, as it didn't add achievements or new levels - it was just clothing. Still... I don't know why it was removed. It wasn't like it was taking up gigabytes of space!

Sorry to hear that you're upset about the amount of space required to play the game.

If you are not yet aware, you can purchase a usb 3.0 external hard drive for use with the console. You can have up to two such devices attached, each totaling a range of 256GB to 16TB per drive. This means that you could potentially have up to 32.5TB of
hard drive space for your console and games.

Hope this answer helps you out.

    In addition to onyx:

The ui updates do not sum up but replace the previous one each time. So you do not lose the storage space on your internal drive on the ui updates. So there is no reason to be upset about this Updates taking up too much space ;)

Also the games needs to be installed on the harddrive as an optical device is lots slower than a hard disk, so not having them installed will end up in lags and pauses in the game play for loading reasons. Remember there are lots more of data to be transferred
then on the good old 360.

  6. buying a hard drive just ensure you more space makes xbox one a rip off product secretly microsoft signed some agreement where the xbox one requires a external hard drive to play more games & the updates are pathetic they don't even compress anything & how
many updates we get with all the reamiaining unfixed, bugs, & things they don't care to fix is more pathetic.

Xbox One games take up way too much space

I feel your pain. But sadly this is the new standard for gaming. The best advice I can give is keep a eye out for good deals on external hard drives. But remember that the minimum size allowed is 256g. I myself found a 4tb external drive for $146, needles
to say I jumped on the deal right away lol.
