Updates not working..

Hi,

When I turn the xbox on, I am told that I need to do an update or xbox live and/or the kinect will not work. I accept and am told that I need to have memory of 190mb in order to proceed. I go to my settings> system. All it says is "unformatted". I press
"A" here and of the four options, only "format" is available. Everything else is greyed out. I press "A" on "format" and a note pops up warning me that things will be deleted if I continue. I accept and am taken to a screen that tells me that formatting
is taking place and to not turn off the console. After two seconds, I am returned to the "unformatted" screen with no warnings or errors and nothing gets fixed.

This is EXTREMELY frustrating as my Kinect and memory no longer work and they were just fine before X Box live.

Update not working

I get on to play Black Ops 2 and it says if I dont download this update I will be signed out of xbox live. I did the download, and when it was done went to a black screen and hasnt moved in over a hour. What the hell is going on.

Updates not working

Hi all, I have downloaded the recent 1.5gb update for forza horizon 2 ( digital copy), however, it stays at 100%, and could not complete with the installation. I have waited 2 hours, on and off the system but it remains the same and I am not able to proceed
with the game. Please advise, is there any way for me to redownload with the update or get system to complete the update. Thanks.

Sorry you're having so much trouble here.

Do you perhaps have the Xbox console with the 4GB internal flash memory?

Greetings, Edensia Warrior. This error message means that a storage device (memory unit or hard drive) was not found during the software update. I'd recommend following these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

1. Turn off your console.

2. Remove all console storage devices, including any USB flash drives, external hard drives, or the internal hard drive on the Xbox 360 S console.

3. Add your primary storage device, for example, the hard drive.

4. Turn on the console

5. Try updating the console again.

Well I've already try those stuff but it did not work

Problem solved. Had the same for Destiny too, so I was getting fed up with it. But the solution was quite easy. First take out the disk, then tried to play the game. Apparently that also forced some kind of logout, as i had to re-enter the password for the
microsoft account. And then i could update both games. Hope you have some success with this!

For future reference you can also redownload it from your download history. On the console, go to System>Accounts>Download History.
