Updates must stay even if you delete the game

Most games nowadays have multiple GBs of downloads apart from the 40-50 GB from the game disk that must be installed first to play.

Now, with a 500 GB Xbox One, invariably one has to decide whether to buy an external hard-disk or delete a game.

For someone like me who has a really **** broadband connection, deleting a game whose disk I already possess is one answer in order to install a new game. Because I know that I can always install it back.

However, unfortunately, deleting a game also deletes the entire update downloaded from the internet.

I think MSFT should change this.

We should get an option if we want to delete the entire game or only the part we installed from the CD.

If I am allowed to keep the part I downloaded from the internet it just makes my life a lot easier as I dont have to spend hours downloading that content again when I choose to reinstall the game from its disk.

Games updates problem

Updates are a must if you want to stay connected to xbox live.

The only other solution is to play offline.

Yes. Even if you delete the game, you can download it again at any time for free.

I think you should consider purchasing a suitable
external hard drive for your console and you can then install and play games from here allowing you to free up space directly on the console.

Hi, you can't erase the game on your list. Because it stays with you as an Xbox G score so it stays there. Maximum you can delete the game even if you did.

That check mark stays there (letting you know that you've downloaded it once) even if you were to delete it the check mark still stays there in the game itself. It seems that there's something bigger going on with this multiplayer update 4 for you. Do you
have the ability to remove your hard drive from your console and use a USB Flash Drive and just put your profile on it and try to download the 4th multiplayer update?

If you were connected to the internet after playing Tomb Raider your saves are already on the cloud and will stay there even if you delete the game. They will also be available if you install the game again, even on different consoles.
